Mint Julep

The Mint Julep is a yummy drink that takes you back to the Old South. Sipping on this sweet substitute for iced tea while languishing in the humid air of summer will make you understand why these were created for the leisure class in places like Savannah, Fredricksburg, and Charlotte. The Mint Julep is made for you to slow down, sip, and enjoy life as it creeps past you.

Ingredients:
 4 sprigs Mint
 1 tsp. Powdered Sugar
 2 tsp Water
 2 1/2 oz. Bourbon

Instructions: From The Mr. Boston Official Bartender’s and Party Guide.
 In silver julep cup, (which I personally always carry in my backpack) silver mug, or collins glass, muddle mint leaves, powdered sugar, and water.
 Fill glass or mug with shaved or crushed ice and add bourbon.
 Top with more ice and garnish with a mink spring and straws.
