Description : Mara House is not the cheapest hostel but we continually strive to be the best! We are in a quiet residential area not far from the back entrance to the train station, which is the centre of Luxor. If you want to see the 'ordinary' egyptians then you need to stay with us! We offer: Free pick up from the railway station. 40LE for pick up from airport (normal taxi price) Laundry Service FREE European mattresses, no bugs, ants or mosquitos! Egyptian cotton bedlinen and towels. Unlimited supply of hot water 24 hours. You can inspect the room before paying. Free travel and sightseeing advice. Taxi service Breakfast consists of juice, yogurt, bread, jam, eggs, cheese, tea/coffee. You can keep your room until you are leaving Luxor as long as you let us know your departure time before you arrive. Mara House consists of 9 apts, sleeping up to 30 persons per night. Your accommodation is either a single, twin or double bedroom ….all private. Double rooms have – double bed, bathroom, kitchen, sitting room. Each apt. has one double room and two single rooms so if the apt. is full the most people you will share a bathroom with is 4, with whom you also share living room with balcony and kitchen. We give no commission to the touts at the train station, who do their best to divert people to their accommodation. On receipt of your booking we email you asking for your arrival details and Sayed will be at the train or airport to pick you up no matter what time. He will have a sign saying 'Mara House' and be wearing an identity badge for 'Egypt With Mara' on it. I also email his photo in advance.
