Casa Gomez

Meravigliosa.. siamo stati 3 notti a Trinidad ed abbiamo prenotato questa casa su consiglio di alcuni amici che erano stati l'anno prima, e non potevamo fare scelta migliore! La casa è bellissima e proprio nel centro della città, le camere spaziosissime e comodissime, e Ricardo e la mamma sono meravigliosi.. ci hanno fatto sentire come a casa, uno dei posti migliori che abbiamo trovato.. e la cucina è indimenticabile (abbiamo mangiato in casa tutte le sere!), ottima anche quella! Se passate da Trinidad (ci siamo innamorati di questa città!) non potete non prenotare qui!!! Una vacanza indimenticabile!!!

Casa Gomez biedt een uitstekende prijs kwaliteitsverhouding. Vooreerst is de communicatie met Ricardo (zoon van de gastvrouw) zeer vlot. Er werd spontaan aangeboden om ons af te halen aan het busstation (absoluut doen want de weg vinden in Cuba is geen evidentie)! Hartelijke ontvangst. Ruime kamer met grote badkamer. Grote bedden maar harde planken bodem. Slaapkwaliteit kan dus beter. Kamer werd dagelijks gepoetst. (Oude) lawaaierige airco en ventilator op de kamer evenals een frigo. Dit casa beschikt tevens over een mooie tuin. Locatie is centraal in de oude stad. Gastvrouw is super lief! Alle extra's kunnen maar zijn best prijzig. Hoor zelf wat rond op de straat, je vindt vast zelf een intressante deal. Kort samengevat: absolute aanrader qua locatie, gastvrijheid en prijs!

Family running casa, relaxing and family-like atmosphere. Great location, a few minutes walk to Trinidado historical area.

We mochten hier als eerste gasten de nieuw gebouwde kamer boven in gebruik nemen. Geweldig verblijf. Vriendelijke en gastvrije mensen. Zoon spreekt ook Engels. Heerlijk gegeten prima service. Mooie locatie vlak bij centrum.

Cars Gomez unfortunately emailed us about three weeks before we arrived to let us know the mother was going to be ill and having treatment when we were there, but said they had kindly booked us a room for the same price across the road! So we turned up and the son spoke great English and showed us to our other hosts. The casa we stayed in was lovely, huge, clean and very friendly. Great location - close to main square.

Is a very nice house near the center of Trinidad. The family was very nice and helpful.

Casa Gomez was excellent. Ricardo and his mother, Hortencia were delightful hosts. Ricardo speaks fluent English and was extremely responsive by phone and email leading up to our stay. Hortencia was very patient with our broken Spanish and extremely helpful (they even helped book our return travel to Havana). The casa is very centrally located to restaurants and night life in the town (the only taxi we took was for a day trip to a farther our waterfall and the beach). The rooms were spacious, have private entry and access and contain all the basics. Hortencia made breakfast in the morning for an additional 5 cuc and the rooms were stalked with water and other soft drinks for purchase. The house has a nice, peaceful back patio area they allow guests to use. Typical of houses built in this period, the house has sensitive plumbing but we didn't experience any issues during our stay. I would recommend Casa Gomez to others traveling to Trinidad.

We spent two weeks in Cuba visiting Havana, Las Terrazas, Viñales, Pinar del Río, Trinidad, Cayo Santa María and Santa Clara. We stayed in hotels at the end of the trip (Cayo Santa Maria and our last night in Havana) but apart from that stayed in Casa Particulares like this. This was the final one of the four we stayed in and it was great to be collected by Ricardo at the bus station when we arrived. The room was big with a private bathroom and fridge. Unlike other places we stayed it wasn't cleaned/sheets changed during our three night stay. We opted to have breakfast at the Casa and it was very good and plentiful – this was consistently the case everywhere we stayed, so perhaps we were very lucky. Ricardo helped arrange a chap to take our luggage to the bus station when we left but other than that we ~fended for ourselves – there was perhaps less help here with activities than some of the other places we stayed. Overall a good experience and somewhere we'd think about booking again, mainly for the location and Ricardo's delightful mother!

Unas lindas personas, buena atención y muy amables. Es una casa muy bonita, el desayuno es muy rico.

Tanto la señora de la casa como su hijo nos atendieron estupendamente, nos sentimos muy bien acogidos.

El servicio de desayuno estupendo y las comidas también, y aun precio muy asequible.

Una estupenda habitación con dos camas (buen colchón), aire acondicionado, ventilador, baño privado y nevera.

Nice traditional Trinidad house in the historic centre. Walking distance to Viazul bus station and to the attractions. Clean and comfortable room. Mrs.Hortensia and her san are very nice and helpful. There are hummingbirds in their courtyard. Very recommended

The casa is located in the center of trinidad. It is quiet and clean and has a very nice yard/terrace. The landlady is very nice and helpful and makes delicious breakfast with selfmade muffins. The son of the family speaks English very well and is also very helpful. It was a great stay there, which is why we could only recommend it to everybody.

Very nice casa, the people are super-friendly and very helpful. The breakfast and the dinner are highly recommended. Also located in a good spot.

When arriving at the hostel, the owner told ud that there was a problem and he arranged that we could stay at his sister's house. This was a bedroom where we booked a house for ourselves. Arriving at 6pm, there was not much choice for alternatives...

This also happened another night with us at another hostel and we heard from other travelers the same experience. Bottom line, you don't get what you booked and they will put you in a cheaper, less attractive place. Really too bad...

Die Casa Gomez war unbeschreiblich schön und ich würde auf jeden fall wieder dort übernachten. Die Familie ist äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen ist sehr gut, es gibt meiner Meinung nach nichts negatives über diese Casa zu schreiben.

We really enjoyed our stay with the family Gomez and can highly recommend the house. The room is big and quiet, the location is perfect and Ricardo, Hortensia and their son Ricardo were great hosts! It semms to stay in the family and not in a hostel. Best food and support for our trips to the great national park.
