About us
This property is a historic building from 1912 with major renovations completed recently.
It started with an idea to be a hostel. Our mission is to be a successful hostel, where we welcome all international travelers come and experience our hostel.
Our building has a friendly ambiance and pretty decor.
We are in a convenient location in downtown and have a large common area that is relaxing to make you feel at home.

Accommodation
We have 15 rooms; we have 2-person private rooms, mixed, and female dorms, with shared bathrooms. Bunk beds are in all our rooms. We provide linens in the rooms.

Services and activities
We have a very big common area where you can meet other people. In this common area, we have a ping pong and pool table, board games, television, and a guest computer. We offer free wifi. There is a common kitchen where guests are welcome to cook their meals. We offer free breakfast to our guests.

Hostel On 3rd is a brand new hostel located in the heart of San Diego: Gaslamp District.

It is ideally located just one block from all the bar scene and still in a quiet area when you need a silent night’s sleep.
We have a very big common area where you can meet other people and have great times.
We are very close to all great tourist spots of San Diego like museums, zoo and beaches. We are only two blocks from the downtown convention center.

Our property is special in a way that it is quiet like home, situated in a residential area, and gives a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, and is unique in a way that it has a convenient location. We require a valid, government issued ID to check-in. We do not accept United States passports. If you are a foreign citizen, you must provide a valid passport to check-in. We do not allow local San Diego County residents to stay at our facility. Our maximum stay is 14 nights within a 365 day period.
