The company started in 2006 with surfers Mauro Bender (natural of Rio Grande do Sul) and Katrina Millar (natural of New Zealand), with the proposal to host worldwide travellers offering Surf Camp packages where the backpacker comes to visit the city of Rio de Janeiro, stay and learn how to surf (according to his level). There are also the Surf Guide, for surfers that wants someone to take them to the best peaks of the day, and equipment rental. Surf N Stay is the only “Surf Camp” located in Recr

The rooms are: 4 private rooms with bathroom and a/c and an extra single bed; 1 private room with a/c, shared bathroom and 1 extra single bed; 2 shared 6 bed room each with a/c; 1 private room for singles with fan and bathroom (bunk bed).

Our house has a garden at the front with a play area and the breakfast area (included in your stay), reception, balcony on both floors, 1 living room with cable TV, 1 fully equipe kitchen, 1 laptop area with wi-fi, a place to keep the boards, 2 shared bathrooms and 2 shared showers.

The property accepts the following credit card brands for balance payments: Visa, Mastercard, Visa Electron, American Express.

The first night amount will be charged before the arrival otherwise the booking won't be guaranteed and the deposit will be lost. The charged amount is non-refundable.

The property reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.

Deposit refunds are available, from the moment Rio Surf N Stay is given notice by e-mail, as bellow: 15 days prior arrival: 70% deposit pay back 7 days prior arrival: 50% deposit pay back 3 days prior arrival: 20% deposit pay back Non-attendance on the day of check-in and/or early check-out does not give entitlement to refund or reduction of values. Cancellation package holidays / special events there will be no refunds or transfer of credits for later use by third parties. The hostel will not refund the amount of fees, commission, or any extra charges made by Hostelsclub, in any circumstances. In case of refund, the hostel will discount the amount of the agency in the calculation. Payments by credit card are not refundable in cash. For cancellations of payments with credit cards, the amount to be refund will be returned the same way it was paid, depending on the credit card company it can take over a week to be confirmed. Rio Surf n Stay will issue a FULL credit for re-bookings within a 1 year, in order to use a credit already paid. This credit is will vary according to availability. For special season, Rio Surf N Stay doesn’t issue credit. Rio Surf n Stay will allow the transfer of the booking to another person, as long as it made by written notice. Cancellations and delays for desease or accident reasons will be refound/changed, since proven with certificate
