Way out of center, rather go to Havana Vieja.
Room was not at Casa Petronila but at another apartment, we did not see Petronila except for paying.
Breakfast was poor.

A lovely stay with very friendly people and an amazingly filling breakfast ( didn't need to eat lunch).
I was lucky to get a room with balcony in Rosa's flat,and as I stayed 2 1/2 weeks it was nice to be able to sit and look at the lovely courtyard garden when I had enough of Havana centre .
It is quite a way to Havana vieja but once I got the hang of using the collectivo taxis it wasn't a problem.Quite nice to get away from the noise and fumes after a day of sight seeing.
All in all, I can highly recommend this casa.

The mother and her sun are so friendly and they ware so nice to me, the only think I did not like is that you need a taxi to to old Havana, you go there by 5 CUC and you come back from there by 7-10 CUC

Ordered two beds but only got one, but owner gave discount for this mistake. Otherwise the stay was fine, very friendly family, good breakfast, decent ensuite bathroom.

This was our first experience of a Cuban casa particular, just after our arrival at Havana: a very good and friendly introduction!

Unfortunately, the air conditioning, which is required at the height of the summer, was extremely noisy and interrupted our sleep. On the other hand this is a lovely, clean, very homely Casa in a nice safe area in Vedado. The owners are kind and very friendly people.

Petronila is WONDERFUL! The place is spotless and the breakfasts are wonderful.
