Acacia Hostel

The kitchen was awful didn't have any thing in it. The bathroom was tiny.

best deal in London! Nice place (lil old stile) and very good position (close to everithing) I appreciate my stay

Dirty and cold are the words to describe this place. The reception stinks to fish. Receptionist disturbed us in the middle of the night (private room). Historic wooden beds and burned heating systems.

very good position in city near park many interesting museums, preety old hause but need konserwation many new fornitures specially new kitchen and beds and more peasant dining room

The hostel has a really good location and is also good value for money. The breakfast consists of cereals, jam and toast and coffee or hot chocolate, which is nice in my opinion. The staff was friendly. The bathrooms are clean, although some of them has a broken window. It was nice having a TV in our room.

Maybe the lousiest hostel I´ve ever been, but good position and pretty cheap.

It is not so clean as I want. Linen is wet. It is not so dear as anything else in London, but not cheap as for me.

I stayed for 4 days. Toilet was duty... except for this,I really enjoyed this staying!

Near the this hostel, There were many shop such as restaurant,supermarket and bar.

The location is really great. But that's all! There were no towels and the staff couldn't tells us were to buy it. The bedrooms and bathrooms weren't very clean. There was dust all over the place And moist in the bathrooms. Finally the breakfast wasn't good. If you was eating the cleaned everything up, so there was nothing left to eat.

Excellent proximity to the museums and other sights of London. Room equipment is standard, but in the kitchen is really low - 2 saucepans and a frying pan. Missing plates, cups and cutlery. Who just cooker and microwave oven and has its own cutlery with him, can be satisfied.

A really well-placed hostel with a rather good atmosphere. Cleanliness is to be reviewed to my mind but as long as you are student and you do not spend ages there it is totally okay.

Some staffs are not friendly, and servces are not good.

"There is a strange smeel all over the hostel"

We had a very nice stay. Slept well at night, had hot water and breakfast every day. The hostel was clean and just several steps from Hyde park.

The hostel is cheap but that's about all that's recommendable. Except one gentleman and the breakfast lady, the staff were all rather uninterested in their guests' welfare. The hostel itself is in urgent need of repair: the showers were either dysfunctional or a mere trickle, the rooms were not overly clean, the drain of our washbasin was clogged, the window was stuck and the room unbearably hot. The furniture is old and creaking. But the location is splendid.

Simple accomodation due to a low price. Reasonable standard.

Nice place if you just want a bed too sleep in! I recommend this place! Its cheap and near the subway!

Only one light was broken in one toilet.

Hostel has very good position, stuff is pleasant and breakfast is OK.BUT hostel is very dirty,everything was sticky,linen were quite ok,but not ironed.This is hostel only for sleaping,not for girls who like purity, my partner was ok with it.I'm really not planning to go back, next time I would rather pay more and I will be in cleaner hostel.

The Room was ok, but the bathroom and toilets are not clean enough, there is no soap at the wc's. Not enough showers. The carpets are too old and siffy. The walls are too thin, so that One can hear everything word of the neigbours. Nevertheless, it is located very centrally (2 minutes to the Subway picadilly, District and Circle line). Regarding the cheap Price, its ok!!

The hotel was dirty, but the price and the location are very well. And the staff was nice.

The room was extremelny narrow, no table, just one small drawer to put your stuff on. They claimed to have a laundry but there wasn't any and they sent me to one next street (which didn't work either). Breakfast was poor, but sufficient. The wifi rarely worked.

Quite nice hostel. I didn't even expect, but there is a bathroom in 8 bedded room. And it is clean! Big minus for leak of common spoons, knives, plates etc.in the kitchen. You should have your own cutlery if you want to use the kitchen after breakfast.

sheets and pillows are clean, the rest is not. hostel needs renewal. staff is not very pleasant, but ok. position is great. Not very fun, nothing to do. There's no tv, no radio.

i think it was fair enough; not good to people who has problems with some old house.

Very cheap but not the nicest hostel to visit. A plus for the cheapness and the location, very close to underground and the city. Big minus for the shower that's either freezing cold or extremely hot and our room didn't have a locker(!), so actually anyone could go in and steal stuff. Luckily, that didn't happen. But the staff was nice, and the room was cleaned everyday, so if you want to find a really cheap hostel and you don't have any valuable stuff to protect, this is the hostel for you :)

The positions is excellent! And, what's important, it's safe. The rooms are not small, it depends on which floor you have your room: these in basements are bigger than others. Unfortunately, ou have very small variety of products for breakfast: there are only tosts, butter, jam, milk and corn flakes - I had to buy something more for breakfast. You have a fridge in your room so it's not a problem to keep there your own food.

Very good hostel

This is is hostel but it has some hotel standards like breakfast, sheets in the beds and staff in the reception all day. This makes it very practical. But the house was not in a good condition. Everything makes a worn-out and not so clean impression. For example one of the toilets were smelly. In the other toilet the wash basin was out of work and couldn´t be used so we had to go to our room to wash hands. In our room there was a refridgerator, wich we apprechiated, but it was dirty. There was supposed to be a kitchen, but there was only a sink, an oven and a microwave oven. No plates, knifes, forks and other equipment what so ever. It worked out because they served breakfast, (a very simple breakfast) though the small basement "kitchen" was not a nice environment to eat in. But the price is low, and the possibilities to eat out are great. You can also warm up a dinner if you buy plastic spoon or so, to keep your travelling costs down. You can easily walk to Kensington Gardens from there or to the Underground station South Kensington and then reach the rest of London. The staff were helpful and nice. I can recommend this hostel to those who want to spend there money and time on London and not on the hotel.

Staff were very unfriendly and not very helpful at all. However we met some nice people and the rooms were alright and location good.

You are a group of good people in the best locaction in the city. If I pay only 60,00 PLN (polish zloty) I have to understood what expected from . The most imported for my family:cleanless is perfect. & lovly people, too !! Thank you once again !! Grzegorz Notecki

Very good location, beautiful house, amazing experience

We stayed there for 4 days and had a good time :) We get that what we have accepted for that money.

Acacia Hostel is a very nice and cheap place to stay for a few nights in London. Very well placed with the MNH just around the corner and near the subway station it has all the basic conforts a person needs. I enjoyed and I strongly recommend it to backpackers.

The Smell ,dirty,kitchen...breakfast...the beds the bathrooms,the floors,the curtains..

VERY NEAR SOUTH KENSINGTON UNDERGROUND STATION, HARRODS, NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM/SCIENCE MUSEUM/VICTORIA & ALBERT MUSEUM, RESTAURANTS (TYPICAL AND FOREIGN)/BARS/SHOPS. VERY RECOMMENDED!

Unfortunatelly the hotel was far below my expectations. The room was rather dirty, the beds and the sheets were quite unpleasant. The bathrooms did not have any blinds or curtains, so everyone could see you taking the shower. And finally there were only two toasts for breakfast what might be not enought for everyone.

If I had known the conditions in Acacia Hotel, I would have never decided to stay there.

Its a decent hostal, its easy to get there and there are cheap small shops to buy something to eat

The person attending the kitchen for breakfast wasn't a kind person

They received us eventhough we arrived at 04:00 am, that was cool.
