Some lockers wasn't work properly, but it wasn't a problem because the people who I shared the room, were good and friendly people.

The position is really good, a rich zone. A 2 minutes walking to the underground, and a 1 minute or less walking to the bus stop.

Just one thing, the shower is in the bedroom, so if there are lots of people sleeping in the same bedroom is a bit difficult and you need waiting so much time to take a shower. There are some toilets in the first floor and in the -1 floor, but not showers.

Congrats !

Dear guest, thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We are glad to learn that you enjoyed your stay and our flawless location, despite the showers "situation". We look forward to welcoming you again in the near future. Your Meininger Team.

The room was very tiny for hostel standards. The shower/toilet was not very practical and DEFINITELY not on standard.
The owner's reply
Dear guest, we are sorry to read that our standard did not meet your expectations. Nonetheless, we do hope to see you again in one of our hotels in Europe. Your Meininger Team.

I really don't understand that is London's inflation utterly high? Everything at here is almost charged! I didn't encounter such matter in those hostels I lived before! I even paid more expensive than the previous hostels, but I needed to spend even more than previous those... At least, I don't think it will worth me to give twenty some pounds to it each night! Anyway, the only point to praise, is the staff are kind and helpful.

Hi,

I don't like those rooms with the bathroom insight because people go and come so offten to use the toilet and or take shower and is horrible for people who whant sleep well. Is not possible to slep and also you can keep your intimity.

Thanks,

A good hotel, we had a nice privet room with 4 beds, about 4minutes walk to an underground station, only 5 stops on the 'district line' to picadilly and it was pretty cheap too! :)

Friendly personnel.

Sadly there is no 'real' bar on the ground floor.

the hostel's location is very good,in the center of London. The area is safe and convenient, very close to the tube station, jus abt 5 mins walk. Also, the hostel is very clea and tidy, the bed was very comfortable. nice environment! jus the toliet inside the room is a bit too small but all other things are perfect! We reli had very great time in the hostel! highly recommended this hostel!

P.S. the hostel is directly in front of the natursal science museum!

All was good except that not a clear answer could be given whether ministry of sound was open, leading to a 3 hour trip in the night just to find the club is closed

price very good

position very good

staff nice

breakfast better than expected

strongly recommended

Great facilities, location, staff, and all around experience. Only complaint is the shower is a tad too noisy on the WCs inside the rooms, making it hard to sleep when someone is using it.

I spent only one night at the Meininger. It's a perfect location if you want to visit the museums or to go for a walk in the morning in Kensingtons Gardens. There's also a lot of fast-foods just around the corner. It was also very clean, everywhere in the building. There is a free luggage room which had been grantly appreciated.

The only things which disappointed me was the air-conditionning who was very loud (it wake me up several times during the night !) and the fact that it's a XXth century building so it lacks a bit of personnality. The breakfast is not included and I found it a bit poor, for that price I could have ate a real english breakfast (with the bacon, the eggs and the beans) in a pub around the corner.

I don't know if I will come back but I certaintly recommand if you're planning a trip with a big group.

Dear team, as a whole I liked a lot your place and service. Perfect location, cleanliness, quietness (!). Fun: what? The entertainment is London itself, what does it have to do with the place meant to provide sleep and rest? The TV and the PCs in the foyer were more than enough. Staff: highly expeditious and kind, but with one exception: forgotten breakfast stamps on my guest card, but that was settled (I give 70 points because of the stamps; the breakfasts paid for in cash were written as dates, but no stamps). The rest of the staff - flawless.

It would be easier to find if it were located as 'in THE BADEN-POWELL centre on the corner of Cromwell and Queensgate'. Good breakfast. Bunk rooms too cramped. Didn't want fun.

The position, staff and surronding area is ok.

Good located but too many people (12 girls) in the same room with only very small bathrooms. Quite noisy room due to the traffic and air conditioning machine working all the night.

Very well located and cheap.

I think it's a great hostel. I see 3 opportunity areas.

1) When I booked my room on the internet it said that the hostel had 2 beds available and when I arrived, it wasn't that full.

2) I think there shouldn't be shared rooms for males and females.

3) Instructions on how to reach the hostel from bus stations/underground is not clear enough for foreigners

Anyway, I think it's a great place to stay at. Breakfast is very complete and everything was very clean.

Great place to stay, well located, just a few steps away from the Musseums of Naural History and Science. Breakfast is good and although the elevators were not working everything to me was very good.

I have given only 40 for cleanliness because of the kitchen "awareness" the scout motto "Be Prepared" is not here.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable

Overcrowded rooms with few and too small bathrooms - difficult to make a shower. Not very confortable and clean beds and little information from the desk staff. Good breakfast and good position.

This is the best hostel I have stayed in Europe. Each room of 12 has two bathrooms, the bunk beds are very comfortable and decent size. Free coffee is available for 24 hours, free berakfast is awesome. You cannot match the location. I rate this hostel the best. This hostel has free 3hour long city tour.

The shared rooms were fine. There is elevator and luggage room to keep the baggage. It is located just in from of the Natural History Museum and only two blocks to the Metro Station. Good breakfast. A very good place for the price.
