CheapSleep Helsinki

I was beyond pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hostel. The showers were very clean, there was a very nice shared kitchen, a TV, lockers, and every other amenity you could really ask for. I will be returning for sure.

Cheap hostel in poor area. Noisy outside at night. Showers never had shower gel in the holders. Someone stole all the food from the fridge. Cheap though and staff friendly.

Very good quality of service and good place to be in after long journey.

It was an enjoyable time!! Extremely clean. Quite professional infrastructure in the kitchen, bathroom and room.

Definitely would recommend.

Only issue is that the hostel js located not in the city center, but it's quite easy to reach.

This is my first time staying at CheapSleep. It is a very nice and clean place to rest at for the night. As CheapSleep has quite a large common area, it is easy to meet new people, also on travels and make new friends. A little warning to those who are not used to hostel staying, as my sister got a shock herself, the toilets do not have a proper door enclosure but only uses curtains. Otherwise I find the place fantastic, easily accessible (once you are familiar with the neighbourhood around cheapsleep) and very friendly and helpful staff.

Cheapest location in town! Although I slept in the biggest dorm with 25 other people, I cannot complain about loudness or other things that gave me a hard time to sleep. I recommend it for everyone who wants to stay in cheap hostel and doesn't have that much demands towards the accomandation. The only problem is that since it's not totally in the city center you need to buy a ticket for public transport, which is almost that expensive, that you could suggest staying in a hostel in the city center to a higher price (but withouth buying public transport card then). The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Nothing special about this hostel for the price (even though it's one of the cheapest options in this expensive city) and it's so far from everything. Especially if you are traveling by ferry which is really the main way in/out of Helsinki, it's ridiculously far from the ferry port.

Nice hostel!

Great place to stay even with a family, no disturbance during the night. Location is good, not too far from the centre.

Plus: Best for price/quality. A food store and bus stop are close. Clean everywhere.

Minus: It was very cold in the day due to air condition. A noisy cleaner woke up us at 7 a.m.!

Biggest minus for this hostel are dorm rooms,

- too small distance between beds makes it hard to manipulate with baggage or use your locker when someone is sleeping anywhere under or next of your bed.

- and there is always someone sleeping so you have to disturb them while using your locker .. so you find yourself not using locker at all.

-dorm rooms make you change cloths in common rooms,... if you don't want to change cloths 50 cm from someone's (sleeping or not sleeping) face.

Together with 30 minutes walk distance from centre.

not to be too negative I must say that staff was great :)

Anyway I would not recommend this hostel to my friends.

Very good hostel, value for money. It is located not very far away from the center of the city, it is clean and rather cheap

I would be glad to recommend this hostel to my friends. Receptionists were very polite and helpful. It was on of the best hostels I've ever stayed.
