Full Paris experience, cute small hotel with nice people. For us the double bed was a bit on the small side (tall dutch people).

Location is great - near Moulin rouge and not far from Sacre Coeur. Housekeeping's good - cleans room & changes towels every day. Entering hostel without ringing - is a plus.

Bad sides: no possibility to make tea/coffee, cos no electrical tea kettle in the room. Its also impossible to fall asleep until 12 at night, cos there's a noisy bar just under the window.

It would be nice if it were mentioned that some rooms are on the 5th floor, that there is no elevator, and that there is only one shower for the entire building, on the ground floor. Also, the breakfast was a bit too basic, with 1 not-too-fresh croissant, 1 chewy piece of bread and some jam. I regretted paying 6 euros for that, while there were quite some nice, fresh bakeries nearby...

Very nice localisation, clean room, everywhere close. Just one minus is, that building has five floor and just one bathroom for all the guest. Even this, i recommend it:)

Very nice place to stay! Close to Monmartre and 2 metro stacions. Good staff, welcoming family hotel. Small, but cosy rooms. I liked everything!)

Nice Hotel located in the middle of Monmartre, few minutes from the Merto Station and from Sacré-Cœur. The problem was the room which was on the last (fifth) floor, without a lift, so we had to climbe 93 stairs. The shower was on the groundfloor, under the stairs, but it was ok. The room had a window directed to the courtyard, which was rather a well, so we had a view on a wall in distance of 2 meters. I recomend the Hotel but ask before you book what kind of room will you get.

What a dump! One shower for 34 rooms is not enough! No lift, we were on the fourth floor... Doors banging loud throughout the old building with paper-thin walls. A very basic place indeed. Breakfast not worth the money.

Pros:

* excellent location, close to metro and other transportation. Nice part of Montmartre with restaurants and bars within close distance

* breakfast included in the price, simple continental but very convenient..

Cons:

* the room (quite small for 2) was not very clean, and had a moldy smell

* the hotel was undergoing renovation

Dirty place,our room was terrible. Wouldnt recommend it to anyone and wouldnt come back ever!The only good thing about this hostel is a location. Close to the shops and night life.

Excellent location, easy to find from Metro. Great restaurants and bars nearby, including live music venues. Friendly staff, breakfast was good, would stay here again for sure.

the stairs was under renovation when we stayed so this part was a little rough, but i would find no fault in the cleanliness of the room and reception areas. good location, a short stroll from the moulin rouge and metro station and close to plenty of cafes and bars.

It is exactly as the reviews say: small, basic, tiny spiral staircase, loud, creaky, and rundown. Although they are doing a fair bit of updating. You get what you are willing to pay for.

Right at the heart of Montmatre, likely the most classical Parisian quarter, Hotel Bonsejour offers the perfect balance between value and price. Certainly, this hostel anything but perfect as it features many shortcomings: old (floor), it's loud (thin walls) and the WiFi signal is too weak. However, you wont find a better and cleaner location for this price. The basics are there, the rest is up to yourself!!!

Very good position in the center of Montmart. Free computer and internet access at the Lounge (unfortunetely Wi-Fi doesn't work in the rooms). The Hotel is very clean, but at the time there were made some renovations. Shared shower was unfortunately only on the first floor. Summing up we were very satisfied with the stay.

Toilet on the floor, shower only on the 1st floor! (the hotel has 5 floors and no elevator) and poor interior

The pros are: great localisation (artists district, near city centre), not so expensive.

The cons: small rooms, crappy interior.

However it's got its climate and it is a good choice for that price.

I really enjoyed my stay there. The location was right near the metro which takes you anywhere and they were so friendly. They had Internet downstairs and were very helpful. If you're looking for a good quiet clean place to sleep then this is a great place.

Very disappointing and unpleasant experience.Very old house.No private toilet and shower!!The room reminded me more a prison cell than a hotel room. Bed's smooth like butter and makes back aches. Very noisy, no isolation at all. At night extremly noisy because toilets for everyone just next to the room. Couldn't sleep the whole night because of all the toiletflush's noises. The Owner wasn't open to offer me a better solution. He is a very unpolite and racist person who became even violent against me.I needed to call the police who was also shocked by the bad condition of the hotel.I had a full refund but I needed to leave the hotel at 2h30 am.I rather did that than paying for this shit whole.

The hotel has 5 floors and it doesn't have elevator. The rooms are small but comfortable. You have Internet access only at the reception place. The shared bathroom has limited time for showering, you get the coin to put at the machine and you have only 7 minutes to take a shower. The location is excellent.

Great location. Rooms are being cleaned every day, the staff is nice and polite (they also speak English). Atmosphere is neutral. The hotel is very loud, since you can hear what ur neighbours are taking about. There is a WC on every floor, but only one shower in the whole hotel (for those guests, who doesn't have a shower in their room) - I recommend to take a room with shower. I would go there again, because of good price and great location.

It should be rennoveted just a bit, but it's ok. clean enough. really in the herth of Montmartre. staff is not so friendly but not unpolite. wc is in a little cold room in the corridor. there's only one shower at the ground floor. heating system doesn't work very well. Also there was a smell of something cooked everywhere. there were no internet allover the hotel

It's a great place to just kinda get back from a long day in the city and enjoy your rest. Greeat location. Great little hostel. I had a single room and yes it had a sink in it beside the bed. but the little room is about the best room i've had in all my hostel experience. There's just little to complain about. Beware, walls are abit thin so you'll hear some people talking in the hallway if you're ever so unfortunate. otherwise, tres content :)

One shower is not enough and is on the ground floor by the reception (they only give you 7 minutes to shower every time). Toilets are too small. Ok for a cheap stay for a few days and in a good area of Paris.

2€ to take a shower;

Shower only works between 10 and 22h;

7€ for breakfast;

Everything's clean.

Very nice place, great localization - right in the heart of montmartre, few minutes walking from the moulin rouge, numerous pubs and brasseries nearby, but still not too loud to sleep. Only one shower and it's on the ground floor, but the atmosphere is worth it:)

The only good thing may be the good location. The room I stayed was very dark. The toilet was very, very small and really need renovation. I was disappointed and won't recommend this hotel to any friends.

Served it's purpose; somewhere safe, secure,and warm(ish)to get our heads down at night. By no means The Ritz, this is a backpackers' hostel, and there's nothing wrong with that (apart from lino on bedroom floor). Nice 'n close to all the restaurants and bars of Le Butte. Shared one tiny communal toilet. Shower miles away on ground floor. Thin walls, ancient carpet, creaky stairs but can't complain, we were there for rugby, the sights and food; done the job.

it was a clean place to sleep and the staff was nice. Internet access, but couldn't print boarding pass. Location isn't too bad. building is quite old, and not too flat. mattress was well used, but sleepable. toilet is shared, but you can get a private shower -- we used the shared shower as it was 12 euro a day cheaper -- it was also clean, but only available from 9AM to 11PM. room has a sink, but there is no mini fridge or anything -- really more of a hostel than a hotel.

A few things were missing from other people's reviews about this place. It is clean enough, but the thing that's the worst about this place is that there is ONE shower for the whole place! You get 7 minutes. And it's open from 9am-11pm. Inconvenient, but it could be worse. Just be prepared for that!

Very budget option. Great location, amazing neighborhood. The owner is not a nice guy at all. I was quite surprised how bold and glum he is after reading positive reviews here. Bring your earplugs, you will need them in the nighttime, since you hear every step on the staircase. Very limited possibility to ventilate the room in the inner track facing rooms, because of the permanent smoke from the yard. This place is ok, if you look just for a night shelter.

The room was very nice and clean (despite the bad view - I saw the wall of another building and it was quite ugly :-) ). There were only 2 inconveniences, the shower downstars (you have to pay 2 euros for it and you have 7 minutes of water only) and the lack of electric kettle in the room (would be nice to make oneself a tea maybe..).Other than that, the location was fabulous, the staff was ok too (although it's good to speak a litlle French because it's hard to communicate in English, although it's still doable). I would reccommend this place!

The female reception staff are very friendly, however the male receptionist is rather unfriendly, it seems as though guests are a nuisance to him...otherwise enjoyed my stay. One other problem is that for single rooms the only shower is on the ground floor, somewhat inconvenient.
