A good bed and a kitchen, and a bar if you feel like to meet people

Great Hostel, awesome staff and not far from them Metro. I was in a 3 people room, the room was clean, the shower in the room was clean, the toilet OUTSIDE the hallway was kept clean also. I was overall satisfied and willing definitely come back. Marie

The hostel was okay for the price. We were on the sixt floor and there was no elevator, only a narrow staircase. The toilets are on the corridor and really small, without sinks. The area is not central, but the metro stations are near and reaching the sights was not a problem. Cleanness was okay, but one should not expect hotel-like neatness.

Hostel in a good position, relatively clean. Service at the highest level. Only prices for rooms, double rooms could be lower. The area is ambulance, sometimes it can be noisy. I would recommend this hostel has its own atmosphere and is well worth the stay

Awesome place, right across the road from Jaures metro station, cool bar and amusing and intelligent staff with cheap drinks who enjoy a laugh as much as the traveller, i would highly recommend staying there if you are in Paris, it's a mere two stops away from Gare du Nord! Thanks guys

the stairs are very very smalls and it have a lot of floors so its difficult to get to your room
they clean the room very late at afternoon
and the value its expensive for the quality
Kishor kumar, India - Nov 28, 2012
every thing is ok but its necessary some time more energy to get your room by steps.

I think it's a great hostel with really nice people. I cannot rate the entertainment, because I was sleeping there only. I recommend it.
Stepan, Ukraine - Mar 06, 2012
Positive: clean room, good location right next to the Paris Nord train station and city metro, 24/7 check in and there is a bar downstairs which was pretty cool!!!
Negative: You could hear ambulance and police cars passing by all night, the shower is tiny and wifi works only till 6 pm.
Luke, England - Feb 08, 2012
Good features: price, powerful showers, good affordable bar, decent cafes, eateries and bars nearby. It is an ok location (20mins to the Seine)
Bad features: it was rather dirty, quite noisy, and the beds are not comfortable

There is one problem. The kitchen is not very nice and the food, which you have prepared there, you have to eat in the bar. It wasn't comfortable. But the staff was friendly:)Good hostel
Rowena, France - Dec 20, 2011
very small rooms (also tiny shower), smelly narrow long staircase, weird employee. we had to WALK up to the 7th floor to get to our room (there are only 3 rooms per floor), which is kind of hard, but the view is amazing! ...for paris, i think, this hostel is OK..you can survive there, but i wouldn't want to recommend it...

This hostel is a great place to enjoy Paris for a few days. It is situated north of Paris. There are two metro stations right in front of the hostel. It takes about 10min to get downtown. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is no reception at the hostel but a hostel bar that functions as the reception. There are no closing times. The reception is open until 2am in the morning. The bar has the cheapest prices in whole of Paris. Room are tidy and clean. We booked a 8 bedroom dorm but got two beds in a 14 bedroom dorm. But for only 17 Euros still okay. We also stayed in one of the double rooms which was awesome. I can recommend this hostel.

Felt a tad unsafe at times since there are so many people hanging around in the bar and it made me feel a bit nervous. Besides that the staff was very nice and the room was cozy.

This hostel is young, approachable, has an incredible staff that you feel instantly friends with, and was the only place we really met and hung out with people. Fun rooms. Nice location 1 minute from the metro and near places to chill along the river, eat, buy groceries, and just sit in the outside bar area and chat.

Stayed there after staying at another hostel in Paris, and this hostel was AMAZING! The staff are so nice, welcoming and so fun! If you are looking for a good time in Paris, this is definitely the place to go! Having the bar downstairs is a great, met a lot of travelers and super awesome people. When I go back to Paris, this is definitely where I will be staying.

I made a booking with 3 weeks anticipation, then I ended SHARING a bed with a drunk guy because they oversold the shared room. Plese be careful if you're staying in this hostel. I think it'd be my last opotion nxt time.
Bettina, Germany - Apr 03, 2011
As the rooms are arranged in order to save space, everything is quite narrow, and in some rooms the shower is directly in the room so that you cannot take a shower without having other people see you naked. There is no breakfast. I was given 3 different rooms for 4 nights.

Great hostel with great staff !! I recomend it absolutely !

If u wanna go 2 dance but u dnt wanna get the metro during the night there is a club near there.
The staff is amazing!! they speak italian as well!!!
There is a pub in the hostel so u can ve few drinks b4 u go out!!

Very good location, Staff solve problems, there's lively bar zero level. Room was a clean one, just the shower... brrr... If you're in bad condition ask for room not that high or have fun from exercises.
Philomon, Cameroon - Feb 08, 2011
The hostel is not bad for the amount charged. I was annoyed because i came back and met my juice in the gabbage bin and my bread had disappeared. I found that really weird

Johannes, Germany - Jan 24, 2011
The position is well because of the access of metro. The rooms are small as hell. No internet just when you pay 3 Euros and you just can use it in the bar. Restrooms are ridiculous. No alivator and a looooooot of steps. Nothing like the discription in internet
Nikolaus, Austria - Jan 19, 2011
nice hostel with a good atmosphere. only critics. there is really not much space. but well maybe people wont need that.
Jeep, USA - Jan 16, 2011
Was in Paris to DJ and it was really close to the metro (thus all else if you are good with trains) and the bar was a great place to post up and figure out your plans. People were friendly who were staying there as well.
Alejandra, Argentina - Jan 12, 2011
The hostel is clean and the staff at the bar is cool and helpful. The Kitchen is great for cooking, specially if you are on a budget or want to eat something home made. Location: Easy access by subway but far, so it usually requires 1 or 2 subway changes to get to the main attractions. We booked an 8 person room and were placed in a 14 person one, then moved around different rooms of the hostel during our entire stay: 5 days 4 rooms!

In the 3 beds room there's no WC as it was written... there's just a sink and a shower. There's a WC each floor and very clean. There's no elevator, rooms are very small but warm. Position is good. There are NO lockers in the rooms!!!
Rafael, Brazil - Nov 09, 2010
Thats ok for Paris prices, the staffs are very helpful...
Conor, USA - Jun 08, 2010
Rooms are small, NO lockers just a luggage room, only 1 key per room, see-through shower door, toilets in the hallways, rooms are many flights up narrow staircases, WAY too much street noise as they're right next to an emergency services station (ambulances, fire trucks all day and night), too expensive
The staff is great (Nayma, Oliver, and Claire). Very friendly, will definitely help you out with any problems. The bar is actually decent as well. Would not really recommend staying here despite a great staff and good bar.
Rui, Portugal - Mar 23, 2010
Had a good time time here.
The Bar, the staff and cleanliness
7 floors no elevator.
Entrance to the shower is just too small, watch out if you are big.
Nelson, Ecuador - Sep 09, 2009
The rooms are too small, and, although the bus and the train stations are near, it is far respect to the turistical places.
Williamto , Australia - Jun 08, 2009
First, I like Julian the reception guy/ bartender. He is very friendly and nice.
Room is not the best, but acceptable. Not so many attraction around the hostel, but you always can come downstair on the ground floor to buy drink and socialise with people
Metro station just 1 minute walk from the hostel
Juan Carlos , Guatemala - Apr 22, 2009
In the web page don,t tell tou, that are 7 levels building, and no elevator....And the computer for the internet, it is to slow, so, the 1 euro per half hour, it isn,t enough...
Brenda, Canada - Apr 14, 2009
Wish there had been a place where we could consume our own beverages:)
Indika, New Zealand - Apr 13, 2009

david eric , England - Apr 07, 2009
the hostel was very nice but a certain morrocan female staff?got the arogant atitudes as the understanding was that i told her this certain french male was giveing me a hard time when cooking a meal in the kitchen i told her i reported this to jay the certain staff and then i told her about leaveing my leather coat but for some reasons she said i should not be here as its 18/35 so i said ok i was not on about that but she said i giving u a refund so i said ok but u are a stupid woman apart from this the other certain staff was ok happy easter

TINY winding stairs! Be carful if your luggage is heavy. Loads of serins all night long. You will have to take the merto to get anywhere. You have to ask for towels and they will be damp. I didn't like the fact that there is only one key per room. You have to turn it in when you leave, and leave your door unlocked until your other roommates get in--unless you want to get up and let them in. No place to lock up your things in the rooms, but there is a place down stairs. Wi-Fi only works in the bar. I enjoyed my stay, Loved the staff, beds were comfy, showers nice and warm!
Jack, England - Mar 28, 2009
really cool place! very easy to get to/from, friendly helpful staff, nice rooms, nice kitchen, good shower. only downside is the music playing late into the night. good if you're up for a party, less good if you're wanting a good night's sleep!
all in all, very glad i came here :)
Jo-Ann, Australia - Jan 17, 2009
Peace and Love was a pretty cool hostel, lovely and friendly staff and good rooms though the heating was a bit dodgy in some rooms. TINY bathrooms though the heat was good. It got very rowdy at night which made it hard for my friend to sleep but otherwise it was fun!
Diederick, Netherlands - Jan 04, 2009
Very nice hostel, nice bar with an awesome atmosphere to chill in and meet other people visiting the hostel.
Louis, USA - Dec 18, 2008
Peace and Love is really fun no matter what you're after. It's possible to party all night long in the first-floor bar, or catch some shuteye in the quiet rooms upstairs. I was even on the first floor and had no trouble sleeping. Plus it seems to attract cool people.
judit, Spain - Dec 15, 2008
It is a good but small place! There is not elevator and there are 7 floors. you will be lucky if you get the 2nd one! Rooms are really small as well as wc but it is in a good location and you will have fun in the bar downstairs.
Lee, Australia - Dec 05, 2008
In my 3 days here, I spent a total of 21 hrs sleeping and that's it so who am I to judge?!?!? :)
If you just want to sleep and then getup and go then the place is perfect - drinks til 2am also :)
