This place was awesome. Sometimes the dining room gets cramped during breakfast, but everything else is awesome. Victoria was the person who checked me in and then gave me some really helpful info about getting around the city. I would have been lost without her advice! The place had cheap beer, clean (cramped) rooms, and a pretty great location!

Pros:

Location was very good. Walkable from Gare du nord, near to 2 metro stations, right nex to montmatre district, supermarket right nex door.

Kitchen and safe/lockers were available, big plus for many.

Cons:

lift is available (bigplus), However it is off at night (reckon after 9/10pm).

No room cleaning or towel.

Cant get wifi in room!!

Hostel its self is in good location and has nice,friendly staff. Only thing i didnt like is that cleaningness is i think pu aside and for that money get get from each room for each night.they could at leqst repainted.

I would suggest to everyone to look for hotel rather than hostel..hotel charge per room and on many occasions price is the same as hostel charging per person!!

The place whas very lively and met alot of fun people there. The staff was nice and the breakfast was pretty good. The bad thing was that my room was very very dirty. The bathroom was filled with mold and discusting.

this hostel was so nice. staffs are nice and also there is no limit ,such as during 11 to 4 , u cant enter the room etc ;)

only 5 mins from the station ;)

on the way from the station, at least 4 big supermarkets there.

The atmosphere at this hostel was great and so was the breakfast. The rooms were small, run down and if you were lucky there were 2 power points to share between 4 people. The staff were average. Some of them were really grumpy, horrible and rude, whilst others weren't too bad...I've had friendlier that's for sure. But the thing that made it enjoyable was the atmosphere and the ability to be able to meet new people easily downstairs in the common room.

the staffs were really nice!! especially during the week days. they changed my room because i had different rooms with my friend and we ended up in a two bed. and we had all the freedom!! with a bathroom and a toilet. they were very generous. i would like to stay again there!!!

I was told that arounf gare de nord is really dangerous but if youre with your friends its okay.

you shouldnt walk outside after 11 though...my opinion.

Vintage Hotel is very accessible to the Bus Station and Anvers Metro Station. It is also about 10 minutes walk to the Sacre Coeur Cathedral. Unfortunately, the lady on the frontdesk lacks sensitivity to guests and needs to improve more on customer relations, the guy however, was so accommodating and willing to help me when I searched for the nearest DHL drop off point.

The chambermaid assigned to the 5th floor can also be trusted. I left a 100Euro bill on my bed and she did not touch it when she cleaned the bathroom.

The carpet needs refurbishing and the open wire dangling on the wall beside my bed needs attention. The way the elevator was made in between two floors makes it very inconvenient for travellers with heavy luggages.

Despite not being located hotel in central Paris, as it is very close to the Gare du Nort greatly facilitates locomotion.

The hotel staff is nice, facilitator and some have had no problems on our stay.

The shower area is very low, but water is becoming a hot bath and pleasant.

The beds have mattresses bad and make lots of noise.

The breakfast is very honest and tasty.

The first floor rooms is not served by lift.

I certainly would return me to stay at the hotel.

I spent a lovely weekend in Paris : Vintage hostel has a great atmosphere looking over the roofs of Montmartre and easy to reach from Gare du Nord . Small number of guests per room , big breakfast and very kind and helpful staff make it a good place to stay for a low budget traveller with culture and easy-going nature . Unfortunately not all customers are respectful of others, so don't expect to sleep much at night.

ALL THE STAFF MEMBERS TOOK SUCH GOOD CARE OF US. HELPED SO VERY MUCH DURING THE PERIOD OF THE TRANSPORT STRIKE AND THEY TRULY MAKE THAT DIFFERENCE IN THE EXPERIENCE. Friendly staff at the reception. Rooms were ok concerning the prices. Suddenly in between we had to change rooms because of a computing problem. Well, I guess things like that can happen once in a while.

They could have provided a better breakfast, breads are pretty dry... croissants are the better choice. there is only a bit of jam (no nutella, honey, cheese, ham, eggs etc) and you're supposed to take just one bread although it's a buffet.

The area around Gare du Nord is not the best one, there are a lot of beggars and you wouldn't necessarily like to walk around alone by night if you were female i'd say. But for our purposes it was fine! We were able to get everywhere easily.

Beds are old and NOISY when you move while sleeping.
