Gay Hostel Berlin

This was my second stay at the Gay Hostel Berlin and it was great. The staff is really friendly, everything is clean and the other guest were amazing.

Nice place, easy to find friends, super cozy and clean. The guy who takes care of the place is a bit strange but its not a big deal :)

Very nice hostel, both staff and other guests were very friendly. Facilities are very clean and comfortable, and everything works well.

Clean hostel, some unfriendly staff. First impression: I arrived on time, before 10pm, as sent on email, and guy with short dark hair wasn't at the hostel when I called the bell. He didn't answer the bell. I spent 15 minutes outside and he comes back to the door with toilet paper, arguing with me that he said in the call machine to wait. Maybe call machine was broken.

It was nice stay at the hostel. It is place for socialising and most of the guests were ready to get together. Another good advantage is that most people were sleeping naked (I mean fully). The only disadvantage is that it is way too expensive: it costs 5 times than other hostels. Instead of promoting participation, they fix a price that prevents many people from going to a safe environment. The rest was good: staff, bed, location.

Very clean and well-organized hostel! Great place to meet and socialize with fellow young travelers. Value for money!

The first time I stayed here I was a bit nervous but I ended up having a really good time. All guests are super friendly and usually gather in the common room before going out. For some reason this hostel attracts a great amount of handsome guys. You'll love your stay here

In terms of structure and cleaning, it's one of the best hostels I've been in the world. And the fact that is made for gay community make it the best. The people I met, the friends I made, the moments I had and the rest I took, everything I'll keep with me in my memories and heart. I just have to thank that this kind of place exists in the world.

Most things were of a great standard considering the price but the man who was hosting and cleaning (tall, skinny, glasses and neck tattoo) was one of the rudest and abrasive people I've ever met working at a hostel. For that alone I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone just because of his obnoxious and rude behaviour towards people who were paying to stay there. He was a real dampener on our experience of staying somewhere that should have been relaxing and rejuvenating in between travelling activities.

It was very very clean and the beds were comfortable. Lacks activities or games or something extra for people to be entertained and socialize more easily inside the hostel. Check-in should be improved, as they just leave you waiting on the street until someone comes for you. At least let people wait inside.

We had, once again, a great stay at the hostel. My now fiancé and I met in the hostel 4 years ago and come back every year. In total I must have stayed at least 7 or 8 times.

The current staff keep the hostel really clean and well looked after.

There always some hot guys around, and I’ve met some amazing people every time to hang out with, do sightseeing, go to parties or have a “hot” shower with ☺️

A good place where it's easy to make friends. It's also a very clean place. Unfortunately, several persons of the staff are unpleasant. However, don't hesitate to go there !

It was so great to stay there. Everything was fine and it was the most cleanest hostel that I've ever been. And Andre was so friendly. All other people there was amazing and friendly, definitely will go again.

Can you imagine that for more than 1,5 years owner of pace can't fix shower (1 of 3 doesn't work) and door to toilet has a spoon as a lock?

When you visit first time you think - ok - probably got broken week ago - but no - that's more than a year!! And owner is fully aware as people keep flagging, but no action taken - he just says "sure we will fix next week ". With such approach there will be a moment when hostel will get so unmaintained that it will be not ok to stay there.

I do recommend going gays to stay there, but attitude of the owner needs to change.

I had a great time at the Gay Hostel and would highly recommend it. I also made some really good friends staying at the Hostel. All round a great experience!

Amazing hostel with a great atmosphere in the gay district of Berlin! It’s great to be in such a free and open-minded place. The staff/housekeeper Valera(?) was super friendly, helpful, and funny, and he kept the place in tip-top shape. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfectly suited for a few days stay as a lone traveller. Nice clean rooms. Conveniently located in the heard of the gay neighbourhood.

Will definitely look to return on my next visit to Berlin

Feels like home, hospitable stuff, wish i had more time to stay there, I've been to Berlin before in different staying in different hotels but for the first time i felt like i never wanted to leave or wished i could stay longer.

Cleanliness is 90%.not because of the staff but it was us the guests who made it messy, other than that it should be 100:as well .. Thank you guys... Good job

Fab stay! Perfect location for where we wanted to be. Staff were friendly and the hostel was clean, good value for money and had all the necessary amenities. Will definitely stay again when in Berlin and recommend it to my friends.

Amazing hospitality and amenities. The host went above and beyond for me. Only downside is the higher price, but worth it!

It was my 2nd stay there and everything was ok. It's clean and the room looks very cozy. It was exactly what I would expect from a hostel.

Some improvement can be done regarding instalation of devices to make it practical one's stay like bases for phones, bigger lockers or storage compartment underbeds and soap-holders in showers for example. The lounge room needs a remodeling work in my opinion to make it a real lounge - entertainment area.

Improve it and it will be a good rapport quality - price.

A very good gay place to stay. The bad are the guests, they leave the bathroom a mess, wet, towels everywhere and they are very noisy all day long.

I'm having bitter sweet feeling as this hostel is great and you should stay there for sure. Location and crowd are amazing. The bitter part comes with the fact that being mostly "only" cheap choice for young gays the owner could pay better maintenance to the place - for example, out of 3 showers - 2 do not for for last 6 months!! There are some other misses but not improving ( like door lock to private bathroom). But overall great place to stay! I'll come again

Dirty place, the beds is in such bade stand !!!! Needed to sleep on the floor !!
