Grand Hostel Berlin Classic

Great value for money, room was nice and beds were soft and comfy. Location is great near to Ubahn station Mockenbrucke.

Maybe a few more showers would be better.

The bar in hostel is very good , works till 2 AM and good wiFi.

Only negative point are the stairs.

This hostel is Crazy clean n very close Postdamer Plaza just walking. Staffs are very kind.

It's called Grand Hostel for a reason.

The rooms were huge, very comfortable and clean. Always felt safe, and the whole place felt very homely, as there was a great atmosphere and great people.

Twenty minutes from Checkpoint Charlie and the Topography of Terror, and right next to the U-bahn. Quite far from the incredible Kreuzberg, but very straightforward by train. The staff were VERY useful and welcoming. There were discounts and travelcards easily available. When we arrived, one member of staff sat us down and gave us a detailed overview of Berlin, recommending us places and things to do.

the Hostel is amazing,since u arrive the staff welcome u with a fresh drink and they sit and explain every thing to u , providing a map with all the hot spots and give u all the information u require for your stay.

berlin is a very big city, and the hostel is far from down town and center of attraction but its also 10 mins walking to a big street with bars and resto and the hostel is so close to a metro station which can take u every where in 10 mins.

they have a very good gardin to sit and have ur drink, free wifi every where.

a little prb that they dont have elevators and its an old historical building and i stayed in the 3rd floor it wasnt so bad coz am young but its worth mentionning.

i recommend to stay in that hostel.it was a good stay for me and my frnds:)

a really nice place to stay. everything's perfect, except that the location is not within walking distance to major spots like Brandenburger Tor, but since Berlin's such a big city and a day-ticket is indeed necessary, the little flaw about location is nothing. once again, everything's just perfect!

The best hostel where I stayed.

I definitely recommend this hostel: the staff is friendly, young and helpful, and everybody speaks english. The location is really good to reach the heart of the city, infact is really close to the subway. as soon as i got into the room i immediatly felt very comfortable, cause everything is new and clean. I couldn't expect anything better!

Pros:

Location is excellent.

Hostel is very nice...like a hotel. The best are excellent, especially for tall people, as there are no boarders/bunks.

Cons:

Atmosphere is non-existent

There is traffic outside rooms, so u can't keep up windows. Then the air becomes very thick and bad during night time, and also hot inside.

Conclusion:

Good place if you are coming with a non-socializing agenda, and want to stay in a clean central hostel.

Really enjoyed our stay. The room was way above our expectations - clean and nice, the staff was most helpful and very friendly. You might want to consider adding shelves in the closets and a full length mirror somewhere in the hostel.Thank you!

perfect clean hostel, more like hotel. Only litttle problem is location-10min from center

This might be the best hostel in the world. The breakfast/lunch buffet was fantastic, the room big enough and everything was spotless. Oh, fresh vases of flowers everywhere, too. This hostel is for people who are not looking for the crazy youth type hostel but for people wanting a great place, very convenient location and good price for seeing Berlin - not a big party type hostel with tons of noise.... perfect!

Everything in this Hostel was very good: the staff, the cleaness, the location (very close to the U-Bahn station), the quality of the rooms. The 5-bed dorms were huge. Moreover, bed lines and internet surfing were free of charge. The breakfast wasn't included (€ 5,50), but it was plentiful. So, in the whole, it was a very good choise!

Excellent hostel, clean, tidy and the staff is just wonderful - nice, informative, enjoying their work, you can tell that easily.

I recommend it to everybody!
