I think JetPak Eco Lodge Berlin will be my new home when I'm here in Germany for my entire life.

Thank you Neil!

Absolutely loved this hostel. After traveling for the better part of a month, mostly staying in large cities, this was the perfect getaway. Take daily walks through the woods while still being walking distance to the nearest grocery store and a number of resteraunts. The bus line can get you to central Berlin quickly as well. A very good balance of being away from the noise and near the action.

Poor communication. I tried to cancel my 2 night booking, but the hostel never replied so I paid in full for both days.

They didn’t let us check out, we called and knocked and no one answered so we lost 10€ even though we still had the cards. The girls bathroom was pretty unclean and there were a lot of spiders in our room. However, the beds were comfortable and big and they had a cute dog.

A little gem hidden in the woods: Clean rooms, a nice garden with BBQ and deck-chairs to relax in the sun. Ideal for visitors to the Free University or to Potsdam, rather remote to get to the center.

The place was amazing. More importantly, the person who owned the lodge was just brilliant and helpful and really sweet.

I'd recommend everyone to stay at the lodge if they are in Berlin.

This hostel defenitely made for introvert non-clubbers and nature-lovers. Everything was just awesome! I highly recommend everyone to stay here.

The most enjoyable hostel experience I've had. Being in the forest, near a very beautiful lake, makes for a unique stay in Berlin. Being a bit far from the city center wasn't a problem - you meet and get to know your fellow hostel members a lot better. You can spend a week chilling outside on the giant sofas, watching some TV, taking forest walks, or hardly leave the hostel at all, and still feel like it was a day well spent. Two downsides: there are an endless number of mosquitoes, so do pack lots of repellent. Also, the showers aren't the best in the world, but compared to everything else you get, I'd just be nitpicking. 10/10 would recommend!

JetPak was UNREAL. I had the most AMAZING time there, and I wish I could have stayed longer despite the fact that I extended it by 3 days anyway. The family is so fantastic, as are their few employees. The woods the lodge is located in are beautiful and magical, and there are dogs EVERYWHERE! I made so many genuine friends staying here and I sincerely doubt I would have enjoyed Berlin as much as I did because I stayed at JetPak. I felt so comfortable and at home there. I can't rave enough about this place and the incredible family that runs it; stay here, you won't regret it. TIP: take the X10 to Zoological Gardens, and you can reach many hotspots from there. Quicker and easier than taking the 115 to a U/S station. TIP 2: go walk around the woods. Brig bug spray!

The showers are not clean (only one for men. The door is broken. There is no intimity inside. It smells humidity.

The door of one of the room is just taken off and put next to.

The daily personnel doesn t speak english and is not helpfull

Only the location is good.

But still to remember that there is no kitchen! And the nearest store is 30minutes walk! So, good luck

I had a great stay at the hostel. The hostess was friendly and helpful, as was the overall atmosphere amongst the guests. The location isn't bad per se, I personally loved where it was situated, and it was easier than I had thought to commute i to the city centre. It was clean and the stay was worth the money spent. Have already recommended to a few friends.

Bathrooms need to be improved. Only two showers in the female washrooms, of which only one was fully functional. Otherwise, nice quiet location. Bus stop nearby hence good connectivity. Friendly staff.

If you like to experience a german forest autumn, or long to experience those forest strolls in the a crisp German air, I can't think of a better place. The facilities are basic, but bedrooms rooms clean and comfortable. Our hosts are very down to earth and very accommodating. Loved it.

I loved my stay at JetPak. If you search for a nice quiet place where you can feel at home, this is the right choice. I loved the little house in the woods, the staff was super friendly, a nice breakfast, fully equipped common room, everything great. Minus points are the doors that you can only slam (if you sleep in a dorm you will wake up every time someone goes in or out, because of the specific locks that are installed), pretty cold water in the shower (occasionally) and, if you come back late, you need to go through the woods at night;-) But for me it was a perfect place to stay and if I visit Berlin again, I will for sure pick JetPak:-)

Great hostel experience. I have stayed at the Jetpak ecolodge for 1 month: this hostel offers helpful, nice staff and a quite environment in the woods. My only complaint is that they will actively turn off lights even if your using them if it is midday. I suppose it goes hand in hand with the "eco" mindset.

This hostel is not in the city. If you want to be in the middle of Berlin, this is NOT for you. That being said, this hostel was AMAZING!!! It was so nice to be out of the city and go into the city when I wanted to. Riding the metro from this hostel is easy and so is renting a bike. The staff (Suzanne!) was so nice and helpful, I couldn't recommend this place any higher. Don't complain about this hostel if you want to be in the middle of Berlin and have to take a 20 minute metro ride to get there. Nature rocks! Thanks Eco Lodge!

Nice hostel out in the woods, very nice and quiet. Of course, that means it takes a little time to get into the city proper, but access to roads and public transportation is decent – just make sure to be back on time or you'll need a cab.

Interesting location inside forest, in nice garden quarter balances longer distance from U-Bahn line. Eco-idea is fine, but spaces should be more clean. There could be some wardrobe in a room.

If you like the feeling that you might get murdered or raped in the night! This is the hostel for you!

Staff Are very strange and your

Not sure who actually works here. They will

Never help you, but are willing to be aggressive with you if you step out of line.

They might as well call it Eco Prison!

In the summertime there's a lot of mosquitoes around the hostel in the afternoon – you need to cope with that in some way. Beside that it's a great hostel for the non-party crowd.

I have been traveling to Berlin to do research for a dissertation, and I really enjoy staying at JetPak Ecolodge for its beautiful location and friendly staff. It's in Grunewald, so it offers some peace and quiet for working. But it's just a bus/subway trip into the areas of Berlin where you want to go out. A great combination of comfort/tranquility/yet access to all the major sights.

It is far away from the city and you have to walk through a jungle path for 5 mins and in total 15 mins from nearest bus stop. Radiator was also not working during our stay from 29 Dec - 1 jan 2014.
