Schlafmeile Hostel

We loved our stay in Berlin. The hostel was really clean and as group of eight we got our own room. The hostel was clean and the restaurant was gemütlich. Good price/quality ratio.

Staff is kind, the position e very well detailed. Nothing to complain

Was quite clean but the location is pretty far from any main sites in Berlin, so you'll have to use a lot of public transportation. Is connected to a nice cafe, which is where you check in, that has food and wifi and also lets you drink you own alchol. Also a shared kitchen for cooking.

This is a very good hostel, clean and pleasant. The subway is not far away and the staff is nice. A good place to sleap when you're visiting this incredible city.

i booked a single room with double bed, but when arrived with my girlfriend they gave us a room with bunk bed. Fortunely they gave us a room with a bathroom.

one of the best hostel ive been too. Shame its a 'new zealand hostel' but I forgive them.

Great place, just-the-basics but social, intimate and fun. Easy to meet people, and ideal launching pad for an exploration of Berlin.

We stayed in private room which was spacious and very clean (bathroom was cleaned on daily basis!!). The owner was funny and helpful as well as the other guys from reception; food from NZ restaurant taty and cheap. I didn't like the fact that reception wasn't open 24h and the room's door were facing the street - we didn't feel safe enough

Really good and cheap hostel, perfect for stay the night if you have nowhere to go ;)

Very nice hostel...very ok the staff...bathroom are cleaned every day...the only default is the position for which you have to take u bahn or s bahn to reach the mitte...anyway the same district where the hostel is situated is very alternative and interesting...

I would come again if i came back Berlin!

This hostel ROCKS! It seriously made our trip the best trip ever! The staff is great and the people living there are awsome! just prepare yourself for a whole lot of aussies ;) If you are looking for a good time in berlin; live at kiwi hostel!! :D it got me all teary just thinking of it :( HAVE FUN FOLKS!

Very good value for your money. Great staff with a flexible attitude. Rooms were fine and people sharing the mixed dorm were very nice. The breakfast buffet was good. I would highly recommend this place to any budget traveller.

Great hostel! Clean, the people are nice and help you if you need,5 minutes walking from the underground, near to pubs and bars. There is a kitchen, you have to bring your locker. Cheap price!

a funny and gentle warden (schnaps ;o)) and no problems. very clean- i've never thaught that it would be as clean as it was for that price :)

as far as I have got to know that hostel, I can highly recommend it.

Glenn the owner is an absolute cracker, all the staff are super friendly & helpful. Had some good times here, nice sized hostel for socialising, & the commmon room has ping pong!!!

pretty cool to have your own door to the street like a flat almost. bathroom facilities were sufficient in being able to clean my bike aswell, success!

the position may not seem central at first but is in a really cool area. hostel was clean and comfortable. the staff were really nice/cool/helpful. i would definitely recommend it!

i'm very satisfied. it is clean and quiet and night, good for a traveller that only wants to sleep at night. however, if you want clubbing you can ask the stuff for the best places. one point to note is that don't come after the reception time, there will be really no person there...

the position in east berlin is wonderful, nice, good and cheap places in the neighbourhood to eat something. The rooms are all nearby a bussy street, that's the only thing that was a pity.

It was a very clean, well keeped hostel, expeccially the showers and toilets were VERY clean. Nice.

Location is oke, it is a little walk to the underground (U-Bahn) and from there a couple of stops to Alexander Platz. The hostel is located in the east of Berlin, and on walking distance are much nice (alternitive) bars, in the Simon Dachstrasse you can have breakfast, cocktails, beers etc etc.

I really recommend this hostel.

Many things to do around the hostel during the night. Very good place to live the East Berlin atmosphere!!

The Schlafmeile hostel is perhaps not located directly in the city center, but the connection via the U-bahn (the underground) and their excellent bikes you can rent for a nice price make this hardly any trouble whatsoever.

The hostel lies next to a road, but not a main one, so the hostel is relatively quiet and a good rest is assured, provided no snorring company of course ;). The staff is relaxed and very friendly and certainly adds a plus to the whole deal. A supermarkt and cheap places to eat are nearby that are open till pretty late so meals are assured.

Das Schlafmeile Hostel ist viellicht nicht ganz in die nähe von das centrum, aber mit U-bahn oder Fahrrad bist du schnell genüg da. Das Hostel ist gelegen in eine rühige Umgebung und die sehr freundliche Leute da machen schlafen da eine aangeneme Erfahrung.

Niet geheel in het centrum, maar de ondergrondse en de goeie fietsen, die daar verhuurd worden, maken dat geen probleem. Relaxte mensen en redelijk rustige omgeving. Aan te raden

The cafe attached is great, and the staff are friendly, however the organisation leaves a lot to be desired. There was no record of my booking from hostels.com, even though I'd paid a deposit, and they were full, one of us had to sleep in the common room. They don't provide towels as is reported, and bedlinen disappeared during our stay. There aren't enough showers per block and they back up. It's not as close to town as reported, and they gave us wrong directions to the airport.

Excellent English; fun, relaxed and trusting owner; nice neighbourhood; great beds... Definitely recommendable!

Nice hostel in the "in" area of Friedrichshain in Berlin with a kiwi owner. Tast the hamburger in hostel´s pub "New Zealand Cafe" - fantastic. Mike
