Description

Castelpagano, over the Sannio Hills, it's the ideal place for those who want to spend some days in absolutely tranquility, far away from city life; and taste the local cuisine impregnated with ancient flavours and genuine products, particularly, the salami, chesse, milk and lamb. Domus Grampone combines refined elegance with history in a confortable structure able to guarantee a 'green' break not only for families but also for curious young people.
The pine forest, at the entrance of the town, it's prepared with a structure for pic-nic activities, with tables, benches and barbecue grills, very popular in summer months for occasions such as festivals and other events characteristic of the place.

Very close to the Main Square and the Ducal Palace it's located the Domus Grampone, an eighteenth-century building, whose walls are made of local stone, as evidenced by a Latin testament still visible on the top of one of the access gates. Inside you can appreciate the original wood floors, visit the ancient stone tubs where they were pressed the grapes for wine production, the rock on which rests the hole Palace and the ancient bathroom of Vespasian. Placed before the valley, dominates by offering visitors a beautiful view.

Recently completely restructured, offers 3 bedrooms, decorated with special care, with fans, TV and linen: 1 Suite with double bed (private bathroom); 2 bedrooms with shared bathroom, one with double bed and the another one with twin bed. The private bathroom has facilities for disabled, even the shower; the shared bath, wider than the other one, is equipped with bathtub. The level where the rooms are is the 2nd, allowing a unique view: the access is direct and at the street level, respecting laws to overcome architectural barriers. This dual access, through different levels, is due to the development of the structure as a link between the two heights that the town has at that point.

The cost of the reservation includes an italian breakfast in a bar located few steps from the Main Square.

In the “Antiche Terre del Baraccone” is an artificial body of water where you can practice water spots such as canoeing and fishing. In the sorrounding woods there’s a mountain bike circuit of approximately 5km.
