Hostel was OK, not great - one staff member was very friendly and helpful, however another came into our room at midnight and started shouting at us that someone flooded the bathroom in the daytime, despite telling him we’d been out all day.
Room was clean, bathroom was a bit grubby.
Was advertised as BnB but did not actually offer breakfast!
Great location however, 10 min walk from termini train station.

No recommended! Don't pay the deposit (14,00€) because I payd 6,50 to make the reservation and 14,00 when I arrived. They won't give the many back. The man was really not friendly

This is not even a hostel. That’s an apartment eirh 3 rooms. For 18 people there is only one barhroom which is ridicilous. The whole place is really dirty, noone cleans it. The beds are relly unconfortable and loud. There is no common room just a kitchen with two chairs. The most kf the things don’t work, like the plugs and stuff. The whole place is a joke, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who wants to have a normal hostel.

I would not stay here again. One night I returned and left my wallet on the night stand instead of putting it away and the next morning staff had it, my cash was missing (€100), and they were trying to charge me €20 for the wallet on the basis of a faux story of how they got the wallet from a homeless man (my friends and I all knew I had my wallet when we returned to the hostel).
I have to admit I was a bit drunk, nevertheless, it is completely dishonest to take something from a guest and even more so when they knew they could take advantage of the situation.
Other than this horrible situation, the hostel is clean and the beds are ok. Location is not great, it is a bit sketchy at night, specially if you are traveling alone.

Good price . good localization. One when you are coming from a different place than the Termini station is very difficult to find. there is no good sign.

The staff was quite rude, in the room there is a lot of thing left by previous guests. Very noisy environment, it is impossible to sleep with open windows.

Room with private bathroom very modest. Only one towel per person for the entire stay (5 nights ) .
Kitchen equipped poorly. Fortunately, the neighbors were not disruptive . No breakfast - Why B & B?

This place is very good for a last resort. When you can check in is wrong on the website. You can only check in after 2:30pm. Don't go if you don't have to.

They cancelled the booking just before a week stating electricity problem with apartment. Booking deposit EUR 27.09 is still not been paid back to us. Very bad service and not replying to our emails. Please help us to get the money back.

This hostel is in the same building as Duck Hostel, from the same owner. But it has breakfast (one piece of fruits, juice, one piece of cake and coffee) since 9:30, and I was in a different floor (1st), really calm, with a kitchen (more a less equiped) and fridge, if you stay here ask for that. It was really ok. Nice guy in the reception and they only speak english. There is a room near the reception to put the baggage after check out.

Heating doesn't work. Very nice staff but sometimes it's too hard to find one of them around.
They have elevator and hot water :)

Really cheap hostel according to its advantageous. Location is really good just 5 min to central station. Reservation guy is really helpful and friendly person.
So, I strongly recommend.

Really friendly staff and a comphy laid back environment. Unfortunately, they didn't have wifi in the rooms so you'd awlays go to the reception area to get connected.

There was only sheet, not bedding around blanket (which, in point of fact, was a window curtain).
There was a problem with hot water at showers, there was not also a place to put your clothes during showering.
During a night there was no counter service thus I was waking up by door ring and phone ring made by late guests.
There was no possibilty to take a brekafast before 9 am (there was nobody) thus I ate it only once on 7 days.

A perfect place for those who have a limited budget. Is clean, a good position but an advice: get direction or a good map because at first might be hard to finde, or at least that happened to us.

BREAKFEST AND TOWELS ARE NOT INCLUDED. The kitchen. The gastel doesn't work well. The bathroom is dirty. The bedroom blankets are dirty. It's noisy. Not a very good hostel.

The best in hostelroma is location, you can go everywhere on foot. This is not true that there is not hot water. It wasn't any problems with water. Maybe hostel isn't 3 stars but for this price it's really good choice. Nice suprise was breakfest "in bed" :)

Terrible! I will never again stay at this hostel. It was dirty and not even safe. When I arrived, I met the guy from the reception. He told me to leave my luggage in the room until I can check in. I left my bag and came back after few hours to check in and noone was at the reception. The door was open and everybody could steal my stuff. Never saw the guy from the morning again. I waited something around 30 min to find some hostel-employee. On my reservation was a phone number, I called. After another 20min a employee appeared and told me, the kind of room I booked is not avaible. I booked a private room with a private bathroom but I had to share my bathroom. Not even sure if there is any room with a private bathroom in the whole hostel! The room was dirty as well the bed. At the morning it started to rain and somewhere came water inside the room. The shower was the worst. If you tried to get warm water the water just disappeared so you had to shower with ice cold water. Nice start in the day. Unfortunately I didn´t see someone when I checked out so I couldn´t give suggestions for improvement.

It is really close to termini station and it's easy to get to most of the attractions in rome the best thing is that you never get lost to go back to the hostel because you will get public transportation to the termini station at any time even after midnight

Don't go there! "Hostel Roma" is the same as Hostel Two Ducks which actually has only bad opinions. I was there, and i went away. It was too scary, too dirty, too dangerous. You can't feel comfortable and safe there. Choose another hostel and good luck!

First of we were put in the Two Ducks hostel, according to the receptionist the same thing. 24 hour reception advertised but no one there, always a note "back in 20 min" at the desk, leaving people to ring a very loud bell all through the night without getting in. No warm water and no breakfast (it should have been included in our booking). Close to Termini station, so happy with location, but would never recommend it.

the place was horrible. The staff was never in the place. The kitchen always dirty, una verdadera mugre. If you wake up early, theres no one of the staff till 10 am. NO HOT WATER, DIRTY, El lugar te tira las vacaciones abajo

It's really good location. In case of breakfast you need to remind to staff that you want it. I didn't loose anything but cannot say it is safe place - sometimes doors are opened. The beds are very old - is hard to get good sleep. But price is still competitive to other hostels.

This was the worst stay in a hostel I have ever had. Of course they don't tell you online that the check in time isn't until 2:30. Then once we could check in, they said they didn't have all three beds in one room for us. We were going to be split up 2 in one room 1 in another. Not cool. The second night they have our beds away and we had to share one bed. And finally the last night we got three beds in one room. It was an awful stay and so hard to communicate with the Indian workers. Hostel Roma is owned by the same person and operated in the same building as Two Ducks Hostel and that is where they had us staying, not in Hostel Roma. We got ripped off. We had a loud argument with one of the workers, telling me that we didn't have beds because we arrived too late on the second night but we had already been checked in and they just gave our beds away. HORRIBLE stay. Book early so you can get a better hostel. No one should have to go through that!

The hostel is nice and clean. Unfortunately we had to share the room with a terrible Guy who snored like hell.. Anyway if you book a mixed shared room you have to expect something like that. But we still had a great stay.

I really liked the Hostelroma. People who work there seem to be nice and helpful. When we got there the guy who was checking us in gave us all the important information about getting around in the city. The location is great as well. If I get back to Rome, i will definatyelly get back there. One thing wedidnt like was the breakfast, it was really bad, the same every day and more like a snack not breakfast. But we understand that it is just a hostel and it doenst mean you have to do sth about it. We liked th eplace and want to thenk you for all your help. Regards from Poland :)

Fantastic hostel, great "value for money" rate. The localization is simply fantastic, 5 minutes walk from Termini station, lot of great eating-out places within 1 minute walk. Nice breakfast, huge double-bed - absolutely nothing to complain about, I truly recommend this place.
