Not recommended at all. Everything is different from what I have chosen and the price was much more too (supposedly BC of taxes they charge 12 euros more). Totally unacceptable

The place was Ok, I would recommend it just if you want a place where you can leave your things during the day and a place where to sleep. Its more like a house than a hostel.

I wouldn't say this is a Hostel, it is more like an apartment with extra rooms. The cleanliness is ok but there are some unpleasant smells. The cancelation policy is very strict, they would charge the whole stay if you cancel a day or two before arrival. The staff is rarely around and they aren't very nice. I asked for my money back because I used my own towel and they just said "it is not my problem, no refunds". Location is ok, but I wouldn't come back. NOT RECOMMENDABLE AT ALL.

The place was clean enough and the host was very kind and available. The best thing is that this B&B is very near to the underground and it is near to the station, too. The only problem was that the breakfast wasn't include in the price however it is small. At the end, my estimate is good!

I stayed in the hostel in February. There was no heating which was really hard to stand especially during the night. There is a locker for personal things for each guest, free towels and sheets, small kitchen and free internet. There are two showers, during my stay one was broken. The plus might be free breakfest and unlimited coffee and tea during the day. Because of the cold and problems with shower i wouldn't reccommand this place. For this price it's possible to find much better conditions in the same area

False comment!despite of the small price she demanded a private double room instead of she reserved only 2 beds in shared room dormitory .Despite of he espensive cost of the life in Rome downtown but they demanded to spend less than in cheaper country as Poland. Please no more here.

We vere moved from Roma Termini 89 to Walter Guest House, so actually it's a review of this second hostel. So - very nice staff - Walter is a very nice guy. Breakfast was included - croissants, nutella, apricot jam and some other pastries, so you can have a low-budget meal. Coffe maker was also free to use, so you could drink a nice coffe in orange common room. I recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Roma for a few days.

The first night I was disappointed because the bathroom seemed really dirty, then I noticed the owners have the house cleaned everyday, which is pretty cool, they just had a full house on the first night. The breakfast is a plus, it's nothing out of this world, but it saves you a couple of euros and the pastries they buy are quite tasty. The location is excellent, 10 minutes from Roma Termini station, and 5 minutes from the underground Vittorio Emanuele. Would definitely stay again.

The location is probably its biggest plus point.. Very close to termini, getting anywhere else in Rome is pretty easy! The staff is helpful and the place is clean. If you're looking for a very social and happening hostel, this isn't your best bet. But if you want a decent and well located place, it's a great option at the price.

Fair place at a fair price. Great staff, friendly, very helpful. If you are not a fancy person, you want just a safe place to sleep, this is the place for you.

Good location for sightseeing (approx. 10 min to city center). Although neighborhood is not the nicest (close to train station). No pubs/bars are around.

When i made the reservation, i saw: We already take 3.50 € from your account, you only have to pay, 9, 90 € in your arrival, but the ask me for 13 €, they told me, it's because of the taxes in the city. But i already paid that in my credit card. The service it's not good. But it's not the worst. And the cleaning ether. I only stay one night, but personally i don't recommend it. :P

The room was fine, the location, perfect. Unfortunately, one staff member followed me one night as I met a travel buddy at a different hosel. The worker insisted I give him money so he would leave me alone. The experience creeped me out.

Place was clean and simple, staff was friendly. Stayed there 2 nights with my sister, we made a reservation for a room with shared bathroom and got one with private bathroom for the same price. Breakfast is not great but you can have breakfast for 2.50 (cappuccino+croissant) everywhere in Rome!

The rooms and the kitchen felt homely and cozy. The location's quite close to central train station, so is nice if you arrive by train. The staffs are helpful.

Normal rooms, but much depends on the specific room you get - their condition and location within the house might vary from good to bad. If you got a room with its own bathroom, you're lucky. Otherwise, you won't probably like the public bathroom in the house... The location is just ok, not too far from the Termini metro station, so it's not a problem to get to any place of interest in Rome from there.

This hostel is very cute and near Termini, near metro station. there are breakfasts in hostel, that's nice!

Overall I think the hostel should be cheaper. I paid 54 Euro per night for a double room with a private bathroom and I think that was pretty pricey for what accommodations were offered. Yes there is a private bathroom and a breakfast but it is snack foods for breakfast and a toilet that sounds like it is a spaceship taking off.

The staff (I think they are the sons of the owner) were great! SO nice and friendly even to non Italian speakers.

Also, please be aware that there are no markings of where the hostel is and the wrong address is listed on the website. We literally went knocking door to door to find this place.

I wish the hostel all the best in the future but wish they would either lower the price or make some improvements. We stayed for two nights but the next two nights found an extremely better hostel a couple blocks away for 10 euro per night cheaper with private bath and breakfast too.

Was a very comfortable stay, the metro is really close and was all that you can ask for if you plan on spending most of your day out. Staff was very helpful and he place was pretty clean. I do recommend the place.

Pros: Really nice and helpful staff. You have lockers in the room to keep your values and luggage. Can have your laundry done for a really unexpensive amount. You are free to come and go as you like, cause you have the keys to the place. Breakfast is Ok. Cons: Cleanliness is not a strong point. Conclusion: Be realistic and don`t expect a B&B or a hotel, but if you are flexible I think this is a good place to stay for a REALLY reasonable price.

Having kitchen there is good. Location is very good with being approachable to Colosseum and nearest metro on Linea A. staff is friendly and helpful. Come to this hostel when you like to spend most of time out in city and in night for nap.

It's a nice place to stay for a couple of days. It's very close to Termini railway station (5 min). There are some supermarkets nearby. Colosseum is on 10-15 minutes walk through the lovely park. The staff is friendly and will try to help you with everything you need. There are some drawbackes there: the kitchen is small and it's hardly may contain all people who want to cook/eat. Kitchen and showers have quite old equipment. The Internet is very slow for modern life.

I've never seen anything that unorganized. The check in is done in a building separated from the actual hostel, and they ask you for the money in advance, before you even see the rooms. The hostel itself is just an apartment that has been divided in as many quarters as possible, often by mean of a plastic sliding door. Everything is done with the bare minimum quality (like the breakfast or the internet connection). The staff is passable, the one you really have to avoid is the owner, meeting him will almost certainly lead to an argument about you giving him more money.

The only positive thing about the place is that it's good form meeting people.

Spent 10 nights recently, and enjoyed it immensely. The breakfeast is small, but good and enjoyable. Staff is nice, though not as helpful as some hostels. The location is great, 10 minutes walking to Coloseum and city center. Quiet hostel, even at mid day, warm showers. Bottom line, this place was wonderful. Internet is inconsient at best. Kitchen was great.

The room we get was clean. It was good value for the amount we paid. We had to move to another hostel. But this was not a problem as it was nearby and we got 1 private room with WC as per our booking. The location is good, close to Metro and bus stop. Colosseum is close. The environment/kitchen can be improved for sure.

The owner of this hostels owns a some other hostels too, which I'd also found on hostelsclub. In these hostels it clearly stated that if your room price is below 10E, you don't get breakfast or towels etc. For Star Rooms it didn't say this, and yet when I arrived the owner rudely tried to persuade me to pay extra for bf. People are not helpful at all, and they charged a reservation fee of 3 euro's a night! If you book, make sure you print the amount you have to pay! They will try to screw you over!
The owner's reply
Comment completely false and nasty, this incredible miser, didn't want to pay the Roma TAX STAY,despite of is normal supplement in every location here rome center and also indicated clearly in this announce of hostelsclub.com in the page info description .The staff is srilankese origin, very helpfull and kind, almost servant for our guests ,and never could be rude as this girl claims, she completely misundestand the information in internet. Completely psyco her attempt to defamate our work for only 4 euros matter.

Hostel is near most important monuments of Rome (f.e. Colosseum), but quite far away from the party area (Testachio). Metro and train station are near, so it's not such a big problem. Staff is really nice. Cons are that there's lack of common space for guests so they can meet and also could be a little bit more clean. but to sum everything up, I give + ;)
