The website said that breakfast was included in the rate, however when we arrived we were told there was definitely no breakfast. The space was fine so we could prepare our own, but it may be an idea to take that page down from the website to avoid disappointing anyone.

Ca da' Gallo is very clean and in a good location. It is however not being maintained to the optimal and guests should note that despite having airconditioning units in the rooms, these do not work. In addition, we stayed in a room in which there were building works adjacent and this resulted in a huge amount of mosquitos due to the damp conditions (wet concrete, water etc.). The breakfast provided is inedible (and only instant coffee provided) but there is a fridge so you can bring your own.

There is no reception/front desk, we told our host when we would arrive in Venice. We didn't have an internet connection, the wifi at the hostel didn't work so we had to find an internet cafe to contact the hosts, it took 2hrs for someone to show up. The wifi worked 20% of the time. When we asked around, there were better value hostels around. Although very small, the room & bathroom were clean. The location was great though.

Nice place, but on the first morning the bathroom was very cold since heating had been turned off and on the last morning we only had cold water for shower.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was in a great location- close enough to do the touristy things but far away to get that local feel and better prices at restaurants and bars. One thing to note is that it was pretty cold at night. We had to push our beds together and use the one extra blanket to bundle up. None of the heaters worked. Breakfast is very basic. Non toasted bread with Nutella or jam is the most you can expect. However: we are students and the bathroom was clean and modern and it was a very nice space! Overall- we would stay here again. :)

The staff was really great! Coffe could be better. As I used to stay in Venice near Rialto, from my point of view the location was not perfect. But on the other hand it is close to Piazale Roma and Santa Lucia, so no need for vaporetto when checking out. The vicinity of the BB is peaceful and quiet. But careful and do not leave windows on the ground floor opened at night. You never know who is going to drop in.

You would stay there for the location , but this is also a problem as the Hotel is a series of separate buildings and as such , there is no manned foyer . the staff were very helpful and allowed us to leave our luggage while we visited Venice before our late night out .

Great location and great host! She was flexible enough to allow us to leave our luggage even though we arrived early morning. The breakfast included basic but adequate. The ensuite room we had was clean and comfortable. The only negative point for our stay was the mosquitos when the windows were opened (late september). Overall it was a very good experience.

When it is 34 degrees the air conditioner is almost useless.. when you pay the rates and get cheap plastic disposable cups well go somewhere else..

the room is too small. If you want air-conditioner, you need to pay 20 Euro per night. Good bathroom but i need bigger bedroom. super basic breakfast served

It was a pleasure to stay in this B&B! Everything was clean and tidy. Room was spacious and furniture were in excellent condition. Staff is really helpful. This B&B is situated in great location - it's really close to Piazzale Roma, vaporetto stop, grocery shop, restaurants, souvenir shops and many more. In fact, you can go to main tourist attractions by foot.
And the price for double room with private bathroom in heart of Venice was really low, so I highly recommend stay in this place :)

Very calm place! I really appreciated the location close to Pl Margeritha. Nice atmosphere in the evening. Breakfast could have been better-bread in plastic packages should be cahnged to fresh bread. The room downstairs was very humid but in all other aspects really good.

Good deal in Venice. Everything was fine except for the need to call on arrival despite emailing arrival time ahead of time, no access to dishware or cutlery after breakfast, and breakfast being bland. Staff are very friendly.

Great service by the staff and clean rooms. Take note to book a room with ensuite bathroom as bathroom for basic room is located at a different level as the room.

Really hard to find this place - signage and directions poor - however check-in was easy. Remember to bring cash / no card facilities & he wanted us to wait in our room for an hour until he came back to take us to an ATM! Err don't think so! We dumped bags and blazed off, found atm easily and met and paid for room in cash. Great spot, easy 10 min walk from central station. Walked everywhere as it's so easy to get around. 2 days was enough - we walked the entire city! Expensive to eat/drink. Hostel had single beds, good bathroom, air con, quiet. Would recommend.

The Ca Del Gallo was a real bargain. At most a 15 minute walk from the Venice train station, it's easy to access. The rooms were clean and the bathroom modern.
The breakfast served was quite nice. It was also a quiet area. We particularly liked the friendly staff.

Giorgio and Miranda were excellent staff. We stayed in the B&B: brand new renovation in a traditional home, quiet neighborhood, very convenient to bus and train stations. highly recommended.

Staying in the hostel was great! We felt at home: modern TV, clean and comfortable rooms and bathroom, dinning room with a little fridge. And Giorgio... he was very helpful, very polite and friendly. One of the best hostels we ever stayed. We strongly recommend.

It's hard to find - ring and ask to be met in a nearby square, as we were! The two people we dealt with were extremely helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, bathroom spotless, and the shower was excellent. I absolutely would stay there again.

Very good location near bus terminal in quiet neighboorhood. Very friendly staff. Clean. Breakfast is totally dissapointing, except for the coffee. There's not even fresh bread. But very good bakery at approx. 200 m.

Excellent value for money at about £33 pppn incl. taxes etc. (November 2013). Very friendly landlord and staff. Breakfast rudimentary but adequate (everything in wrapped packets) with DIY coffee machine. We were allowed use of breakfast room with small fridge for (cold) evening meals which was very useful. Only 10 minutes walk from bus/train stations. Highly recommended for budget stays.

Nice and very clean and quiet room, new bathroom. The breakfast wasn't worth its name - as usual in Venice B&B. Close to railway station and Piazzale Roma but also to Campo S. Margherita. Nice host, very helpful.

Giorgio was very polite and let us in 30mins early. He also was very nice to let us store our luggage until our flight in the evening.
We only stayed one night, and it was only after I made the booking, that I was made aware of a 15 euro surcharge for 1 night stays.
Very central location though.

This was our 2nd time at this B&B. We love the location as it is easy to get to the train and bus station. The staff were very accommodating to our room preference. Breakfast and pillows could use some work though.

Back during the two day stay to do so. All the windows were opened causing Mosquitos to come into the room... I left with 12 bites.
