It's a quiet little hostel but it's not to shabby, location is not bad once you start to know the area. It can be a little complicated to find at first but it's there. I think my Google maps was not working properly though. Nice little lady who was running the place. It's neat and tidy

Lady seemed annoyed at having guests. Cleanliness OK. WIFI was a little spotty. Pictures were completely deceiving. Stay here only if you really need to be on the mainland.

BED BUGS!!!!! Beware the entire room and every bed in it was infested. The asian lady who runs this knows and doesn't care, no offer for a refund or to move rooms. She barely speaks any italian or english. She wasn't there on check in and I had to borrow a passerbys phone to call her mobile to come and check me in after waiting and ringing the doorbell for half an hour. Place is filthy. Only redeeming factor is the location but there are so many other hostels and b&bs in that same area for better prices that I wouldn't bother with this place. My advice - book elsewhere.

Casa Rosseta was a great place to stay if you really have no plan to do more than sleep and shower. The hostel is pretty much in a house, and the hostess was very kind (I don't think she knew very much English). She even brought us fresh watermelon one evening, as it was extremely hot out - which was very kind!! A great opportunity to meet people from around the world, and all around great experience.

This is probably the worst hostel I have ever stayed in, and it's rich of me to even classify it as a 'hostel'. This was practically a dark house with beds thrown in a small room - which might I add, had bed bugs - in a very difficult place to find in Venice. The lady working there was not helpful at all, in fact she was very unwelcoming, unfriendly and unprofessional (sometimes saying things under her breath when you tried to spoke to her). Would not recommend this place to any one, as there is no life in this depressing and dingy 'hostel'.

The hostel is very well located -- not too far from the train station so you don't have to take a long ferry ride and pay to bring the luggage on the vaparetto onto a different part of the island. Breakfast is very minimal, but you would probably want to try all the great nearby restaurants anyway! Nice bar street right behind hostel; make reservations ahead of time if you want to eat dinner at one of those restaurants-- Venice is very walkable, I recommend this place for the value! Owner speaks Chinese.

i visited this hostel already 2 times - it is a nice place - very well located - very easy to find- you won't get lost searching for it. i always used sharing rooms - basically you get what you pay for - noting extra but nothing less.

would always recommend as a possibility especially for young people - who create friendly atmosphere here.

Location was good. The facilities are not great. There are not enough plug ins in the room for everybody to charge their devices. The owner is not very helpful and I found her fairly rude.

Definitely more like a room in someones house rather than a hostel but great value and we would recommend Casa Rosseta for the convenience of location for travellers on a budget. Difficult to find at first and the bathroom is tough to share with a large amount of people but the location seemed to make it worth it. Also strong wifi connection which is always a great attribute!

Everything worked out really well. It's a small bnb with a nice host who will help you with a map of the city and offers breakfast. The hostel is located centrally but in a non touristic part of the town which is nice so you can see a different aspect if town as well.

The cleaningness was low and also the toilet ring was broken. More than this the host through the key out of the window which is not normal. The bed was clean but the shower and bathroom as well as the fridge were not clean and there was a bad smell in the fridge. They should take a bit more care of the accomodation but other than this it was ok.

We stayed here 4 nights. The first three were great, but the fourth we moved rooms and woke up covered in bed bug bites. everything else had been great about this hostel up to this point, but I would not recommend staying here.

I found a bedbug in this guesthouse. The host, who is Chinese lady, let us move to other guesthouse, which is also run by another Chinese. He showed us doubleroom and said, "It is more expensive than your previous dorms." What the.. was he expected our gratitude? For God's sake.. He even making jokes with the lady in Chinese. It was definitely not the happiest moment in my travel and I could not get a refund or any other compensations since she doesn't speak English. I wouldn't recommend this backpackers even though the price is cheap. Guys, this is Venice and don't let the cheap accommodation ruins your precious and romantic moments in Venice.

It was so hard try to find it, there's no sign.

The owners are asians speakers, so talking in in english to them, can be difficult.

The lady in the hostel, made me move to another house when I arrived, cause she said "the bed that you can use has been broken".

I arrived to "calle pisana", and my room was super warm and small, with another 4 beds.

In general, it's a convenient place to stay cause it is cheap and they give you breakfast from 7 to 9.

But, I repeat, it's so hard to get there.

There was no competition with this being the absolute worst hostel I've ever been to - and I've had my fair share. It's creepy as hell, dirty, one bathroom and 2 showers... Woman who ran the place was not friendly and there was no signage or any way to lock your belongings anywhere. Awful. Just don't do it and spend a few extra somewhere else.

The owner is a nice lady who is helpful , although I liked the previous location of the hostel more. The breakfast is negligible with very fewww variety to eat from (could be done better). I am okay with noises but people might mind the noisy tv watching neighbourhood.

It's located near the train station but a bit far from Piazza San Marco. The price was cheap. A Chinese family runs this hostel and they don't speak english very well. If you want to get tips about the city from hostel, you'd better stay in another hostel.

Staff was very well intentioned , but things didn't go well, because they where starting a new building and shower was not hot and the curtains did not block the sun in the room properly, we needed to change hostel and they gave us the money back

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Rosseta! The location is amazing, you can reach everything easily. The staff is staying at the same place, which felt a bit weird but they are friendly and offered us watermelon, beer and sausages. The breakfast is simple but nice. It would be good to have an opportunity to cook though. We will come again!

It was fine: good location; simple, clean shared rooms; free wifi; cheap; rickety shower; cereal and toast for breakfast; unfriendly hosts; no lockable storage; bedding but no towel; no air con or heating.

The owner was not very friendly or knowledgeable about the city. Her "hostel" was really just her house decorated to fit as many people in it as possible. There was no common room to meet anyone and it was very cramped. It was within walking distance of the main sites however, and it had good WiFi.
