Generator Venice has been a wonderful place from which to re-discover Venice! It also has a coffee bar, drinks bar, and restaurant. It is easy to get to it from the Santa Lucia train station & to get around from this location. Quiet and fun! Staff is amazing!

What a fun, millennial, hip place to go to! I was traveling by myself and stayed in all female room and everyone was so friendly and social. Great quiet location, but so close to everywhere in Venice! Definitely would recommend! Only thing was the air conditioning wasn’t very strong.

Your comment about bed bugs comes at a great surprise, we have a specialist contractor coming every two weeks to inspect all areas of our building and we are certified bugs free. Summers in Venice are known to attract high numbers of mosquitos and everyone’s skin react in different ways to them, sometimes making guest believe it could be caused by bed bugs but I can assure you that this is not the case at Generator Venice.

Very nice hostel, very clean. Staff was polite, but not very friendly. The location is ok, but far from downtown and you have to take a vaporetto to get there (15 euros per way), what turns it to be a bit more expensive if you are there just for a night.

As much as I like this place and the amazing staff, I was awake this morning because of the people unable to close a door quietly and not respecting each other's sleep, this is simply impossible. i was considering coming for the Mostra but I can't do that and except so much noise.

The staff was effecient and helpful. The building is gorgeous with exposed brick, tiled floors, and high ceilings lined with wood beams. The rooms are on the smaller side, and although I stayed in a 16 bed dorm-room, I never felt like there were that many people in there. The bunk beds are solid and positioned so that you have privacy. Plus each bed comes with a nook, a power outlet, and a light. On top of that there is under the bed storage (bring your own lock). The beds were comfortable and the blanket provided was very cozy and warm. Lastly, be advised, while they do have a kitchen it is not for guest use. There is no way to prepare your own meal but the prices are fairly reasonable (E5 for breakfast and E9 for dinner).

It was just brilliant to stay at your accommodation, your staff were so friendly and helpful over our stay in Venice. The location is also brilliant in Venice and with a very good connection to the public transport. However, the price for two nights it's a small disadvantage, because we payed 96€ per person without breakfast in an 8 person bedroom . All in all I would recommend the hostel and probably come back on day!

The staff was SO nice & accomodating! It felt extremely safe. They provided a map and directions into Venice. And it was only €1.25 (one-way) to take the train and in less than 10 minutes you were on the main island of Venice. Would definitely recommend and we'll be back!

I stay in this hostel whenever I travel to Venice. People whose stay lasts up to two days could possibly prefer a hostel based closer to the city centre, given that you need to cross the channel to get to this one.

Venice is wonderful city. I shocked by such beauty. I have stayed in this hostel for 2 nights. I liked the hostel very much. staff of hostel were very polite. I also liked the location. I bought a ticket for travel on the vaporetto for two days .I visited the islands of Murano and Burano. The breakfast was good for a reasonable price. I recommend this hostel

Hi great time but on arriving very late to the hostel I got to my bed and no duvet or pillow and as was so late and tired I slept without them. In the morning told reception and they said they would sort it out but again the same thing in the evening. This time I had a pillow but still no doubt. The guy from reception did come and sort it but not enough duvets in the cupboard so he just pinched one from another hostellers bed so I suspect she had a chilly broken nights sleep too as I noticed that in the morning she still didn't have a duvet. So more douvets needed at the hostel perhaps.

It is a great hostel in many ways. One thing I think is lacking is being able to get a glass of water or a cup of tea for free. The heat was intense and having to keep buying water was a bit stingy as I would reckon they are making huge profits at the bar. Apart from that it is the best hostel I have stayed in.

Like this hostel very much, enjoyed to stay there. Because I'm a student but with enough money to stay and pay my stay in Venice, it's still very expensive for a hostel. The hostel was okay, the room are clean and well organize however the bathroom and shower are very small and can not be closed! There is no space to put your stuff in the bathroom also

Great hostel with lots of services! Would recommend for anyone traveler. We stayed in the 10 bed dorm but there was lots of space and it didn't feel like 10 people were in there. Location is a little far from the train station but close to the main square. There is a discount grocery down the street if youre on a budget.

I found the hostel very clean, the staff friendly and helpful, the entertainment impressive. Although the location is a bit of a distance from the main station, it is close to the main tourist attractions, and situated in a very convenient spot along the Zitelle canal line.

This hostel was the best one that I have stayed in to date! The staff was friendly and available, the rooms and bathrooms were clean and modern and the atmosphere was crazy amazing! I would highly recommend this spot to anyone traveling. I have been trying to duplicate it since I left. If I have a choice, Generator will be my hostel of choice anywhere!

We had a great time in the Generator Venice Hostel! The staff is really friendly and always ready to give you whatever information you need, the rooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable, the lounge is cozy, the food is tasty... The showers are a little bit small once there are more than two people in the bathroom, but we always managed, so it definitely is possible.

I loved this hostel!!! It´s clean, nice, and the personal is really nice. I definitely recommend this hostel, the only problem is the location because your whole life depends on the vaporetto but it´s wort it.

there isn't a kitchen for guests, it cost at least +20 euros because of the ferry. the staff don't know cheap places to eat. the locker room is most of the time open.

One of the most comfortable and clean hostels I've been in. The availability of the staff is spot on and they're genuinely nice. The lounge area is a big well decorated beautiful space with a good and affordable food menu. The beds are comfortable with large private cabinets, small light and electricity outlet for each. There's always room to be better, so I hope GV will not deteriorate in time but maintains that high standard they have now. Music during the weekend nights can be loud and ear drumming even at the 2nd fl. Many people need to rest after a long day of travelling. Other than that, high five for all the staff and Nicola, Katy and Fabio!

Very clean and in a nice old part of town. This does involve extra travelling to get into the centre of the city, and you will need to buy transport tickets for the time you are there, as it's on an island so remember that is an extra expense. Also there are no kitchen facilities.

Despite it being off season, generator hostel provided us with amazing accomodation, well priced food and drink, and the opportunity to meet new people. The communal area, although quiet, provided us with a great place to chill and socialise, enhanced by the amazing interior design. The staff were great, my only concern being the fact the cleaners don't knock before entering the rooms.
