I loved my stay here. The location was great, and so were the owners! Only issue is cabin size, but apparently they are rennovating so, would visit again!

Rooms are really small, but the location, the price and the character of this hotel are excellent.

A very nice boat and experience. The only recurrent problem was the loud neighbours at 3 AM.

Also it was not available a light socket in the room, only in the dinning room.

The space in the rooms is very small but I was aware before of it and is part of the experience.

rooms much much smaller that in the photos. Breakfast was very light just a couple of pieces of bread and slices of salami. The checkout is at 11 o'clock which is pretty early if you have ben partying the whole night before. It's an interesting experience to slep on a boat but i'll probably take a Hotel on the main land next time.

Very nice place. The rooms are really small yet being in a boat is romantic. It's really close to the center. Everything is clean.

I'd definitely recommend it to a friend.

It is really well located, 10 min. walk from the central station. Although the rooms are really narrow, it is okay to spend a night. The staff is nice and ready to help. Rooms have good heating system and beds are comfortable and cosy (if you are tall and big they might not be so good..). All in all, a great experience in a reasonable price!

The location is great. Just rooms are simply small...And not sure if it permanently smell...but for my week-end there, there were some huge plastic bags that simply smell. The Lady staff is okay, but really bossing, aggressive and assertive..not sure if as a result bad experience. she is like a robot! all in all, one can stay there for 2 days!

I think that totally is a good idea spend one day on the Anna Maria V. If you are looking for a very simple place, clean and comfortable enough this could be a choice. But not more than one night...you can't sleep one night but not two due to the noise and the cold. Take care of the staff, she seems to be a captain on her ship and she will control you in every movement you make. Anna Maria V is in the centre of the city so you can stay in only 3 or 4 hours to sleep and then in the morning make a cold shower to awake. I repeat totally is a good place but you must not be a prince or a princess.

The cabin was quite small but overall the botel was really quaint. Good standard breakfast in the morning and very comfortable beds. Overall, very good for the price.

very good location, good price. Room is really small (we stayed in double), and has tiny beds, but for thin and short people it's ok. If you need a place just to sleep, then it's perfect. and it's also includes breakfast

You're young and you want to discover Amsterdam in a cheap but, most of all, original way? Then don't hesitate to book a night or 2 (not more) in this very particular boat with a couple of great friends! Fun guaranteed! Welcome was ok, owner of the boat real strong, Dutch woman. Great breakfast (for this kins of accomodation), great location! Just to know: spaces are very little (4 beds in a 2,5m² room but that's how real life is on a boat. It's a life-experience and absolute must. There's no matter place then A'dam to experience this btw!

Clean rooms, tasty breakfast. Good location near Central station. The only disadvantage is that the rooms are super small a you can hear everything what your neighbour does.

We only stayed one night but it was more than enough!

Be carefull: you can only have one (and only one) glass orange juice for the breakfast!

1. Please bear in mind to check in before 2300; othervise you will be refused whatever the reasons of late check-in. 2. Breakfast is provided but you will be watched during the breakfast time. 3. You will not sleep well when people are chatting on the deck or next to your room. 4. Don't expect the switch provided to recharge your camera.

The Hostel is older by what appears in the photo posted in the website. The rooms are very small (the smallest ones that I saw), the toilets are very old and have a bad presentation. The staff are very rigorous and inflexible.

If you are searching a place ONLY to sleep without concerns about the conditions, this hostel is enough for you...

Staying at Anna Maria V was Ok for me, it was a little adventurous because it's a boat, but almost everything was fine. The breakfast was simple, but really good. The room is tiny, but it's enough for a person that isn't going to spend much time at the hotel. My only complain is about the bathroom and the shower. They didn't look so clean and had funny smell.

Very small room, not for a big person. Dosn´t provide towers. Good breakfast, but too expensive for what it is. It´s a simple small clean room.

Great boat, cool hotel. Bunks were small, but it is a boat and even our 1,90 people fit in. One negative site: If you gonna go for party and heavy drinking, make sure you behave when you come back at deep nigth because the noise carries in the boat an surrounding water and the owner doesent´t like the comlpains of other guests if you are to loud.

However, a bed for that price in this position is just great.

it was a great experience for me and my family. of course it wasn't quite comfortable but thats not what we expected. my only recommendation: if you travel by car - park it in the eurocenter and finish your trip by tram (4) to central station.

A wonderful location just near the train station and NEMO, all sigh-seeing options nearby! The rooms are very very small, not a place to spend other time than sleeping, but it's clean AND gives breakfast :> The ship is not moving if anyone is afraid of sea sickness :)

I would strongly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Amsterdam :)

Nice location away from the craziness but still close enough to walk to. Bed comfortable. Noisy when late night guests come in but you're on a boat. What do you expect? Breakfast so-so. Will stay her again.

12 of us (all English) arrived at the boat having booked on hostelsclub prior to arrival. The woman who ran the boat (also born, bred on it and never left it) looked at us strangely and basically told us off before we even got there. She said we were not allowed to make any noise. We were a bit apprehensive obviously but carried on anyway. Once on the boat we were told that we were not allowed to use hairdryers or hair straighteners due to lack of voltage which I imagine would put most people off. There were four plug sockets to charge 25 people's phones. The boat is very small and if you are over 5ft5 you may not fit on the bed! However it was pretty clean and warm. No smoking allowed inside the boat, only on deck (and no illicit substances!) Breakfast was fine, however I got told off for drinking more than one glass of juice! I would recommend staying somewhere in the city centre.

Amazingly close to the city center and all the fun! Really nice owners! Place is designed for people that want to spend their stay in Amsterdam outside. Not much space inside. Me and my friends trully enjoyed it though.

The place is really kind and family-like and romantic (well, if you like boats like I do). It's very close to the Railway Station and worth its price. I can recommend everyone.

Beautiful location and boat, though the cabins are very, very small.

I very much enjoyed the lounge area and the bathrooms and facilities were very clean.

Electrical factlities left someting to be desired- there were 4 plugs on the entire boat...

However, with the reasonable price and nothing severe to complain about, I'd quite hapilly reccomend the Anna MAria V.

The owner is a very strange lady. We even thought she will kill all of us at night, and send our bodies deep in the water. She asked 20 euros deposit for each key. She didn't let us to check out early in the morning since our plane was at 7. She told us to be back at 23 at night in amsterdam! to be able to give her the keys back and since she wanted to lock all the entrance doors of the boat, we had to stay inside the baot after 23h. The showers and the toilets were not clean at all. She asked us to ring a bell to ask sth to drink from her instead in the other boats, the owners have put a honesty box and everybody was paying what he takes from the fridge. Everything was annoying in this hostel. I don't recommend anybody to stay in there. There are many other boats around it to stay! For example Vita Nova was perfect compared to this one where we spent the previous day in.

My plane took off at 5am but the manager made me return the room key at 11pm which forced me to end my last night earlier than planned. Even tho she was staying next room and I could return the key any time. Anyways, I only stayed for 1 night so my ratings might not be entirely accurate.

Price-quality is good. Don't expect a proper hotel room, but a botelroom, where you can sleep for one day or max two.

Come in time! She's a nice lady, but come in time.

Absolutely savage. The owner was openly hostile on our arrival. The cabins are tiny and you cant have more than 2 people stood in a room at any time. Breakfast consisted of some scabby cooked meat and sarcasm from the jolly captain who then basically told us we were in our way and to go.

The toilets and showers are filthy. Its in a reasonable location for town if I could find a positive but otherwise I wouldnt recommend this place to an enemy. Awful.

Well, don't expect a room, it's a cage (2/3 square meters)! It's clean though. The host is not nice at all. As if she did not want us to be there ! There were only two of us (quiet and respectful girls). I really enjoyed Amsterdam but not the houseboat.

Pretty gloomy atmosphere but fine as long as you're not going on your own. Poor standard breakfast. Cabins are really tiny and if you are tall, you may need to curl up in your bed... However, although the barge would need a nice lick of paint, the cabins were clean. Also, the barge is well located, within 10 minutes walking distance from Central Station.
