We stayed in a two-bed apartment with a kitchenette. The room contained twin beds, a small table and two chairs, a wardrobe, a kitchen area with a sink, two electric hobs, fridge and cupboard space, an en-suite bathroom with a shower. Towels and bedlinen could be rented from Reception for 70NKK per person. A kitchen box with crockery and cookware could be borrowed for a refundable cash deposit (or ID). There was a Joker convenience store right in the building, so it was easy to get everything we needed. There were both trams and buses in 5-10 minutes' walking distance. Otherwise, you could walk to the main train station in around 30 minutes. We arrived in the city centre at around 11.30pm and felt reasonably safe walking to the hostel. Staff were friendly and helpful. The wifi connection in the room was free and fast.

Worth the money if you're travelling on a budget. The place is accessible with a tram station nearby so you can easily get around the city. Facilities for cooking are great. But it can be quite stifling in a shared room, especially when other guests seem rather hostile. They also have "day sleepers" in the room so you literally have to be quiet all the time. And the lights are turned off from midnight all the way to about noon so it's pretty hard finding your stuff in there. The receptionists are friendly and understanding though!

No cutlery, plates etc in rooms with kitchen. No shelf, locker or anything to store your things in. No nightlight. Some of the staff not really helpful/unfriendly. Very nice area and rather affordable though.

All good!! Maybe at some point they could built the Asian style boxes that allow for more privacy. But I was very happy staying at Anker. Thank you.

If you like Ryanair, you'll like Anker Appartment. Yes, it's cheap (for Norway) . . . but, zero friendly atmosphere, everything costs extra. A glimpse of a dystopian future. One stay was enough for this traveller.

Very Nice and helpfull personale and free Access to internett!

The access to the hotell is not so easy as it seems from infos on a map; this the only inconvenance.

Good service. A little far from the city center. The lobby was a little dirty, but no complains about the room!

Great deal for the money! Friendly and helpful staff help you get around Oslo, breakfast easy to get from shop, and right next to bus station. Be sure to get an Oslo Pass, you get free bus rides.

If you want just a place cheap (for Oslo) to stay, it is ok. If you want to meet and speak with people... everybody is on his own computer and you will feel really alone!!!

Good hostel, clean, not far away from town, good staff, and the Joker convenience store NeXT door is just great and awesome (and cheap)too.

Very good for a first try at hostels. Next time I will try to get a more private room. The three roommates were good but we were all on different schedules - some late night, some early morning. Not a good mix.

It is located a bit far from the center, but Oslo is not that big a city. The atmosphere of hostel did not encourage interaction between guests, probably due to its architecture. Otherwise it was a very nice place for a stay.
