Hotel Portuense, being totally renovated in 2009, is located in the historic area of downtown Lisbon, the Baixa Pombalina, in Rua das Portas de Santo Antao. It is located behind the Hard Rock Café and close to Alfama, Chiado and Bairro Alto.

The establishment has 36 rooms, ranging from single to quadruple rooms. They all come with a private bathroom, air conditioning, heating, TV and telephone. At the reception area and in the breakfast room, you can also find free access to the internet, through cable or wi-fi.

The road is replenished with a heavy mix of restaurants, where it is possible to enjoy a variety of seafood, meat or even chicken dishes accompanied by some of the best Port wines. Why not also try the famous Ginjinha? Follow the trail of this important street and you may find yourself watching a famous play at the Coliseu dos Recreios or at the Politeama Theatre. You may also encounter a French Community Chapel (Igreja São Luís dos franceses).
