The hostel is very pleasant and the location is perfect! It's 10min from Puerta del Sol and 3min from Gran Via.The neighborhood is a bit strange, but it didn't seem dangerous. The check-in was after 2p.m., the check-out -before 11a.m.The only bad thing was that we had booked a room for 6 and we were 7 in the room. The bathroom was very clean, there was shampoo and soap, which made a very good impression! There is no room, where you can communicate with other guests (apart from the hallway in front of the bathroom) :-) I recommend it for travellers who look for something cheap and nice!

It is not a 24 hour reception. Rooms are spacious. There's only one public toilette

This hostel is really close to central station,"Granvia station". It's really convenient but night on Friday and Saturday was really noisy outside. Stuffs are really friendly and the hostel was clean. I think I would choose this hostel again when I visit Madrid next time!

Clean, friendly, helpful service.

But in a pretty seedy district near a red-light joint and prostitutes openly operating in the area. Also, there is absolutely NO PARKING in the area.

This is a good and clean hostel, affordable and just off the central hub of Madrid. The rooms fit 6 people and can seem cramped at times. However, the staff is accommodating yet flexible and allow you to be totally involved or off doing your own thing. I would stay here again but would look for a place that charged less for large shared rooms.

very nice hostel, met some great people. Located in the heart of Madrid. close proximity to the metro (Gran Via) and the gay district (Chueca). At night trannys/prostitutes roam the area, so if you don't mind if the occasional whistle as you walk by, then this place is perfect.

A little misleading on the website - no internet or breakfast. Very quiet after 12, only 2 bathrooms for everyone. Pretty close to most tourist attractions in Madrid.

Good rates. A little hard to find. Beds are not the most comfortable but liveable. Nice owners.

I've stayed here twice and loved it both times. The owners are very friendly. The man speaks almost perfect English. Yes, the floors are creeky, but it's an old building, just like most in Madrid. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are a bit chilly though, but they do provide multiple blankets. There is a phone and a coffee machine, and the owners are willing to help you find places in the city. I've been there twice and will go back again.

So much noise at night, bed was broken, ...

Clean room, but impossible to sleep there.

The hostel provides with only two toilettes for about 11 rooms (double, triple, etc.). It means that somethimes you have to queue for long before having the toilette available, especially in the morning between 09:00 am and 11:30. There is no shower but only two bathtubs, not really clean and confortable. The curtains for the bathtubs are compleatly dirty.

Rooms are clean but the wool blankets in the closet need washing. I received 5-6 bug bits on my chin and neck. I believe from bed bugs.

Guests are not allowed to use the kitchen. It is reserved for staff/owners use. Also, there is no breakfast provided. I would never stay there again.

The staff yelled at us all the time, and it was a cockroach in the shower! And it was like no isolation, so you heard everything that was going on on the street!

Hostal is in good place to reach all touristic objects by foot, but there are lots of sex shops and prostitutes in this street... So, if you are alone you could feel not very safe.

Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Rooms are old (old furniture), but enough clean and thats good to spend a night or more.

There are only two bathrooms (shower and toilets combined) for everyone staying there. If one needs to go to the toilet in "rush hour" they have to wait through showers! The man at the desk was a little rude. There are better places to stay in Madrid if you can.

Only 2 bathrooms for the entire hostel, the staff wasn't that friendly, no breakfast, no Internet, had to pay 1 Euro each time the "safe" was opened, and storage was NOT free. Location is kindda sketchy but is very close to the center of the city.

Very friendly and helpful staff, nice and modest rooms. Great situation if you want to enjoy night life. It's just that you should speak at least a bit of Spanish. Thanks for the hospitality!
