The hostel was nice, a good price for what you get, a private room with your own bathroom is such a bargain, however... that ceiling fan they have in the room #11 is really noisy, and the things is that you can't turn it off unless you shut down the power supply... and if I get picky, those pillows they offer are kind of shitty, overall, I wouldn't mind to stay in again, but they need to address those small issues they have.

We stood there twice in a few days, the first night the room was not perfect (especially the bathroom and its door) but it was worth its price, the second time it was very good.

in the very heart of madrid, amazing place, close to all important places, metro station Callao is just in front of the hostel. i highly recommend this hostel. ;)

When we arrived the bed was covered by hair (don't ask me what kind of..) and there was no hairdryer. Nobody speaks english. And they refused me the invoice.

Excellent location. The quiet at night in the rooms in the back of the building is impressive, given the location of the hostel in central Madrid. Staff were always responsive and kept the place very clean. The price we paid was among the lowest available at the time we reserved. If they keep up the good work, this place should do well.

Nothing to say about Miami, one of the best hostel I've ever stayed at in Madrid.

The only bad point is that it's on 8th floor, and when the elevator is out of service, you gotta have good legs haha

Miami hostel is in the best location. Close to everything. It was very clean and the staff were friendly, very helpful and accommodating. I shall be recommending it to all my friends. And family.

The best hostel ever! More like a hotel with bath (if you like), towels, free Internet and the best service that can be provided. I'll come back here for sure and I recomend Miami Hostel for everybody, whether you're young, old, single or a couple. :-)

The hostel is actually pretty nice, great location (great view) and they even make your bed every morning. Only downside is that they speak NO English whatsoever and the bathroom in the doubleroom is open on top which gives no privacy at all! But they are very kind people.

This hostel is literally across the road from the Callao metro station, making getting around super easy. It's also within easy walking distance of Plaza Mayor and surrounding shopping streets as well as La Latina, a great spot for tapas. The rooms are especially clean and the owner is lovely - she does not speak much English but we still managed to communicate fine. There's not really a common area for guests but there's so much to do in Madrid there's barely any time to spend at the hostel anyway. We stayed for four nights and loved the place! Highly recommended.

Clean, simple, quiet (at the backside) and friendly staff. 8th floor, small elevator.

It's a great place to stay. The staff is trustful and very pleasant! I didn't like the room with shared bathroom but the private was much more confortable. The view of the city is wonderful and the location is near to everything you need.

Great value for money!! The location of the hostel is superb, so we did not have to get on the tube at all. Also, the staff were very friendly and the rooms clean. What else would you expect when staying in a good hostel?

Stayed at Hostal Miami end of August 2010.

The hostel's location is ideal for those wishing to stay at a basic and budget place in the centre of Madrid's Gran Via. Close to the shopping areas, restaurants and sights.

For three people, we paid less than 50 Euros, for a one night stay.

Coming from the airport, get off at Callao Metro station. The hostel is only a few footsteps away and on Gran Via.

There is a lift so you can bring your luggage to the eighth floor with ease.

Staying in a triple room, facilities are basic which includes shower, toilet and ceiling fan.

Staff know and speak very little English. A night or two, worth a try!

The Hostel with the BEST VIEW EVER!

The location was perfect, in the city centre a good base for exploring the city. The lady was very nice, she cleans the rooms every day, so the hygiene is on a very high level. I would definitely come back there.

Location is good, rooms are nice, landlady is very helpful and understanding (gave us discount on our extra night during the ash cloud caos). Very nice place for the price.

Kitchen and a restroom would add much to the place, but it was still great also without them.

We had a great stay in miami. Would truly recommend it. Good price, clean, cosy. Two downsides: noisy (when you have passionate neighbours :) and the elevator tends to get stuck sometimes.

Nice hostel in the heart of the city; Gran Via. Clean rooms and welcoming staff, but as it's valid for Spain in general you'll need to speak a little bit Spanish to be able to communicate.

The price and the service are very good.The rooms are clean,the boss is very sympatic.Check-in not possible before 13.00.

Hmmm I won't go back there again...we've got the worst room in the hostel. Disgusting towels, not too clean beds and the "best" was a view...when you open a window you can see...wall, nomatter what time it is, in our room night was 24 hours a day...The owner is realy nice woman, I can't complain about it, but i was sleeping in my sleeping bag and useing my towels not to get anything....Location is alrite, in the center of Madrid.

Really lovely hostel! I was a bit nervous as it was the first time I have ever stayed in a hostel and didn´t know what to expect, but it was great! Very clean, new towels, bed made, room tidied everyday. Perfect location, right outside calao metro, 1 min walk to Gran Via metro, 2 mins to Sol. Amazing views from room too (hostel on 8th floor)! Would definately recommend!

Had lift problems when i arrived. Had to climb 8 floors wit my luggage. Fixed quick when reported. Will ask to extend my stay

The laqdy works very hard and she offers free wifi. It was very worth it to get our own private room. She doesnt speak any english but it didnt seem to be a big deal because she worked hard to communicate. The hostel is close to the center of madrid at subway stop Caello.

This is a very clean and friendly hostal. It is also rather cheap and located perfectly on Gran Via where it meets Callao. We enjoyed our stay very much!

The hostal is in the middle of the city, very clean. The owner speaks just Spanish. We booked a two bed room and got a double bed. Quite noisy all day and night. Price is OK when you got your oropax with you.

The lift was out of order.The hostel is at the 8th floor and without lift are quite steps to the top. Missing desk info,brochures corner and internet.

Very nice and clean hostel, only the hostess didn't speak a word of English (though that's quite common in Madrid). You get what you pay for, a clean room with your own bathroom.
