The smell form the fish store next door is very disturbing.

I didn't like the neighborhood, but the hostel was nice and clean. And across the subway, which I really appreciated.

I enjoyed my stay at this hostel because of the pleasant atmosphere. The location right next to the metro station makes it easy to go to other parts of NYC, but from time to time you have to live with the noise of the trains.

My only "problem" was the cleanliness for me when you have a place where people share facilities espcially men AND women it should be cleaned every single day which wasn't the case but other than that the rest was ok the hostel is located 2 mins from the D train station not that much to eat around but you can buy your own food and cook so in the end I would recommend this hotel

This hostel is great and I would come back and stay here in a heartbeat. It's nicely furnished and has a very warm feel to it. Everything is clean and the bed is comfortable. I gave it a 90/100 for cleanliness only because it was quite dusty under the beds but a quick sweep and it'd be fine. Everything else was very clean, including the bathroom.

It's located right outside a subway station so even though it's away from Manhattan, it's extremely easy to get to all the tourist hotspots. I felt very safe in the neighbourhood as well and it had lots of character.

Plus the hostel was priced extremely well. Overall it was great!

A little far away from Manhattan (25-40 minutes subway ride depending where you want to go). Metro rides in front of room, rather noisy. 24/7 market round the corner. Hard to find, no sign in front of hostel, still looks a little bit improvised.

Strange place

This is an excelent option to visit NY. The place is nice, and has kitchen, fridge, hot wather, tv. You can met nice people here, young people that are traveling. It is like one hour far from Manhatan, but the Subway station is crossing the street. I highly recomend this place :)

The hostel is basically a renovated apartment offering very cheap accomodation (certainly compared to the rest of New York and the HI in town). The place is spotlessly clean with a good vibe and staff are fantastic. Osman especially. Only downside is its about 45 mins away from Manhattan, however the subway station is literally outside the door

Not air conditional too hot

The hostel is quite far from manhattan(around 50min) and the restroom is only one on each floor. However, the station is very close from the hostel, and either of staff are super-freindly,kind, and helpful to travel in Newyork.

I will strongly recommend to anyonw who is looking for a hostel in Newyork.

Yoav is not well-known, but you'll love it once you stay there.

I liked everything. The staff (Heidi and Mikle)is very friendly. The position is very comfortable. The district is very picturesque and safe

I stay there 5 Days the People there are friendly and the staff is good and cooperative "Mikel" but the most distressing thing is absence of Air Conditioner and the hostle but my conclusion is finally Great and i recommend all my friends to have their stay there

Clean...kind hosts...freedom (within reason) to stay up and talk a while...trusting bunch. Cheap. Close to D rain. Honestly- would recommend to anyone!

Very clean and new with warm atmosphere. Staffs are nice.Location is ok, as it is just in fromt of station and you can go to downtown without switching train, but it is bit far away from downtown.

The place was super clean and cozy, and the staff was extremely friendly! My only problema was actually finding the staff and paying for my stay as there is no reception. I would stay here again.

The managing director of this hostel and her assistant, Mikle - are fantastastically hospitable, friendly, ready to assist at any moment. Very comfortable location (near metro). Pictureresque part of New-York with beautiful blocks of private palaces of local people. Very safe, very interesting. very educating. I was admired as never before.
