Description

Esperanto Haus provides hostel accommodation close to several local Universities, Brown University, Rhode Island School of Design, and Johnson and Wales Culinary Institute.

It's ideal for international travelers and backpackers, and provide shared dorm rooms and some private rooms

Communal services and activities consist of an equipped kitchen with cooking stove and refrigerator. On the same floor there is also a lounge and sofa with a TV and a Wii. And we have a quiet reading area with a book exchange. Bikes can also be rented.

We also have some bikes that are free for our guests to borrow.

The hostel is located close to downtown, a 20-minute walk from the Amtrak Station; the rail line is just 1 hour from Boston, and 3 hours from NYC. There are also buses that go to other major cities. The hostel has excellent public transportation options, we are around the corner of the bus lines that go directly to downtown Providence, or walk to downtown in 20 minutes.

It can also be a great accommodation base for travelers looking to visit Boston (1 hour), New York (3 hours), Hartfort thanks to the multiple train and bus routes.

For Individuals: 50% refund for cancellations or modifications made 7 days or more before arrival. Payment will not be refunded for any cancellation or modification made less than 7 days before arrival For Groups of 6 or more: Cancellation terms will be set directly with each group Cancellation requests must be in writing via e-mail. Payment will not be refunded for weather-related or personal emergencies. Purchase travel insurance (from a third party) if you wish to safeguard your travel plans.

In the event of a no show this property charges all nights on customer's credit card.

We do NOT accept credit on site. However, for reservations 2 nights or longer our back-end office will either pre-authorize or charge your card before your arrival date. For any card that we cannot process to pre-authorize or charge, the reservation will NOT be guaranteed, and your bed is likely to be given away. The charge/preauthorization is to ensure that you will uphold your commitment to pay for the bed that we hold for you.
