Choosing the destination for summer holidays is always difficult. There are many places to go, places we have always wanted to see, but that, in the end, for one reason or another, you never have the time to go.
Do you need a suggestion? We have thought of Athens and we give you 5 reasons to go there, curious to find out what they are?
1. AFTER STUDIED IT ON SCHOOL BOOKS
For sure you remember the history of the Greeks, years of history, writings and sculptural and theatrical works that are not forgotten,come to Athens means to be able to touch with what that at the university was just writing about books.
Athens is rich in culture, historical testimonies, temples that take away your breath and history that exudes from every brick. First reason for the list, but maybe just enough to convince you to go.
2. BECAUSE FOR A LOW COST TRIP IS PERFECT
Athens, as well as Greece in general, compared to Italy is an economic country, despite there is the same currency, passing a vacation here means spending, having fun, eating out without being afraid to empty the wallet.
3. BECAUSE THE FESTIVALS HERE ARE MEMORABLE
The Greeks are entertained in Athens as well as in the islands, disco parties are famous, but if you do not like dancing, be sure you'll find something else to do without difficulty, the city is full of cafes, chocolate bars and pretty places where to drink tea.
4. CONNECTIONS WITH THE ISLANDS ARE EFFICIENT
If, however, during your trip you want to go out from Athens and visit the nearby islands, do not worry, the transportation is efficient and in no time will you be able to reach it by boat, by air or even sailboat, your choice.
5. FOOD
If you have already tried Greek food in Italy, know that the one you will taste in Athens will be another thing. Fresh ingredients, tasted in the sunshine of the summer, a Greek feta that blends perfectly with black olives, a Moussaka that, even if it is hot, you have to taste it absolutely, and don't you want to taste some zadziki with bread?
