1. A RIDE WITH THE HORSE-DRAWN CARRIAGE IN THE CITY CENTER
Before you decide to take a ride with the horse-drawn carriage, you must be aware of the fact that it can be very costly. A 20-minute-ride with a 'Fiaker' (= Viennese word for horse-drawn carriage) can cost you between 50-60 euros. We recommend that you search online for special offers - this will save you a lot of money. Optionally, you can share the carriage with another couple and therefore half the prize. With a Fiaker ride you can combine sightseeing with pure romance - snuggled up with your sweetheart admiring the city center of Vienna- what more could you ask for?
2. VISIT THE BUTTERFLY HOUSE
In order to give the butterflies in your belly some company it would be a great idea to have a look at the butterfly house ;) The entrance fee for students up to the age of 26 is only 5 euros. The full price is 6.50 euros. You can move independently in the butterfly house and see up to 40 different species of butterflies. In addition, there are a variety of exotic plants that you've certainly never seen before.
3. HAVE A RIDE ON THE RIESENRAD (FERRIS WHEEL)
If you did not ride the Riesenrad, were you really in Vienna at all? It is one of the activities that you MUST do. Above all, if you come with your partner, there is nothing better than to enjoy the magnificent view over the rooftops of Vienna at 65 meters. There is also a lot of history to tell about this Viennese landmark - but we won't say a thing - it is best if you go on a historical journey of discovery yourselves.
4. WALK HAND IN HAND WITH YOUR PARTNER IN THE GARDENS OF SCHÖNBRUNN
A tour around the Schönbrunn Palace is completely free and has so much to offer: the castle park, the Gloriette, the Neptune Fountain, the Palm House and much more. To get to the Gloriette you have to do some steep hike, but this is definitely worth it - from there you have a beautiful view and it is the perfect place for selfies ;) Alternatively, you can visit the zoo Schönbrunn - it is the oldest existing zoo in the world and offers enough sights for a whole day.
5. ENJOY A PIECE OF THE ORIGINAL SACHERTORTE
Is there anything more Viennese than eating a Sacher cake? There probably isn't ;) Sit down in the Sacher Cafe and get a piece of the finest Sacher cake with whipped cream. For one piece you pay about 4-6 euros - and it's absolutely worth it: the cake is amazing and the decoration in the Sacher Cafe is really unique. And the coffee isn't bad either!
6. GO AND SEE 'THE KISS'
