RED SQUARE
One of the largest squares in the world, as well as being part of the Unesco Heritage. Red Square is home to many events and military parades, here there is also the Kremlin, the next stage of our 6 things to visit in Moscow. Initially, the square was called "Fire" and was built at the behest of Tsar Ivan III, the name was due to the many fires caused by wood in the surrounding buildings.
KREMLIN
This is the undisputed symbol of the city, the literal translation of the name means "fortified citadel", in fact, it is the oldest part of the city. The buildings in this complex date back to the medieval period, here there is the Basilica of St. Basil, the third stop on our brief tour in Moscow.
CATHEDRAL OF SAINT BASIL
The shape of the cathedral, which recalls the flames of a bonfire that grow upwards, it is unique, no other architectural building in Russia looks like this one. The cathedral was built at the behest of Tsar Ivan IV to commemorate the capture of Kazan' ed Astrakhan'.
BOLSHOI THEATRE
Literally it means "Grand Theatre" and this should already give you an idea of why we have included it between the 6 things to see in Moscow, here you can watch ballet, opera and theater performances, considering that you will be in one of the most revered temples and noble theatres in the world.
GORKY PARK
When you travel you don't have to shut you inside the museums and set your journey only to the culture, but also to the fun, then here is the right place to go: the Gorky Park, an amusement park right in the center of the city of Moscow!
NOVODEVICHY MONASTERY
Last but not less important to be seen in Moscow, is the Novodevichy Monastery, this one also a Unesco Heritage. Its main feature is definitely given from the golden domes that it shows off, the oldest part is surely the Cathedral of Our Lady of Smolensk, with white walls and classic Russian style.
