It is a short stroll from all the major archaeological sites such as Hadrian’s Library, the Tower of the Winds, the Temple of Hephaestus, the Stoa of Attalos and the ancient Kerameikos Cemetary. The Acropolis itself lies a mere 20 minutes away by foot. You can lose yourself in the cobbled streets of Plaka for some good food and traditional Greek dancing, hunt for souvenirs in Monastiraki, see Athens’ main shopping parade, Ermou St, go for drinks in Psirri.
