Hotel Il Gabbiano **

You get what you pay for. The hotel was very well placed and staff who spoke good English.

The room was clean and some rooms have a nice balcony. We missing air condicition

We Can thinking come back next year.

To begin, the staff at this hotel was fantastic. When we finally arrived (more about that later), we learned that the electricity was out and the hotel owner herself took the time to book us in a new (and slightly nicer) hotel and drove us over there in her personal car. She also took care of all the details so that our price was the same at the new hotel as what we were planning on paying. The only downside was in actually finding the place. It turns out that the hotel changed its name between our booking and our arrival. Also, the directions we received from the booking site said to follow posted signs to the hotel. All in all, this failed miserably due to the name change and we only made it there by the generosity and help of some very nice people we met at the supermarket. On that note, people in Italy (especially the South) are incredibly nice and are almost always willing to go above and beyond to help travellers get where they are going. It's also a great way to meet real people and get more into culture. Although we didn't see much of the hotel, what we saw would lead us to stay there again.
