There are a number of ways to get from the airport into Waikiki. The easiest ways are listed below.

Taxis are available at the airport, but are the most expensive option. A taxi from the airport will cost between $35 and $40, but will only take approximately 20-30 minutes (barring traffic). There are usually taxis standing by at the entrance to the baggage claim area or you can call a cab to meet you. To contact Charlie’s Taxi, dial 808-531-1333, or to call TheCab, dial 808-422-2222.

Shuttles are a less expensive option, and while not quite as fast as a cab are still relatively fast, taking approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to get to the hostel. If you would like to catch a shuttle you can call Reliable Shuttle at 808-924-9292 between 5:30am and 10:00pm. You can call Roberts Hawaii 24 hours a day at 808-539-9400. Keep in mind that the Robert’s Hawaii shuttle after 10pm can take 1.5 to 2 hours to get to the hostel from the airport. Shuttles cost about $10 and will drop you off at our door.

If you have no baggage, or they are small enough to fit on your lap, you can take the public bus for $2.50. The routes that run from the airport into Waikiki are numbers 19 and 20. Access TheBus website at www.thebus.org for exact timetable and route information. You will get off the bus at the Marriott hotel (at the corner of Kuhio Avenue and Paoakalani Street) and walk approximately 1 minute towards the beach. Lemon Road is the second road on your left.
