About us
In the lower north-western side of Etna rises 'Le Grotte', 1810 countryhouse nestled in 3 acres of greenery, including citrus fruits, lemon trees, oranges, clementines, mandarins, olives, vegetables and the fresh scent of seasonal fruits.
Just a few steps from the sea of Praiola (700 mt.), the white pebble beach under the Timpa nature reserve, 15 minutes from the mountain which, from every part of the territory - from Giarre to Acireale - is dominated by the imposing outline of Etna.

Accommodation
It affords 7 double rooms with possibility of additional beds, with typical sicilian style interior and meticulous attention to details. Each local, suitable to accomodate the differently able as well, has a minibar, air conditioning, safe.


Services and activities
Outside, a large car park (CCTV), an equipped catering kitchen, a lounge fully equipped with tables and chairs up to 70 people, swimming pool (umbrellas and deckchair included) and two terraces. They are also available bike rental and guided hikes along the Ionian coast: from the 'stacks' of Acitrezza to Acicastello, from Acireale to Taormina, up to Catania and its surroundings.

Carruba and its services: pharmacy, bar, post office, petrol, fish market, butchery, bakery, grocery, newspapers, tobacco shop, stationery, Conforama at 1.5 km (shopping center), wine and culinary tours.
Public Services at 600 meters.
Railway station (Carruba, Riposto) at mt.900.
Municipal and provincial bus service at 100 meters.
