Casa Vieja

La reserva la cancelaron antes de mi llegada a la habana, el hotel estaba en remodelacion, me dieron un hostal como alternativa, mi mujer entro en shock cuando el taxi perfilo por una calle de aspecto peligroso llena de personajes y ropa tendida, en la esquina en lo alto de un almacen en ruinas se leia el numero del hostal, una angosta y oscura escalera de madera desvencijada subia al hostal.. Le dije al taxista que me llevara a algun otro lugar . Hasta él se extraño del lugar donde yo habia reservado

Terrible experience. Arrived at 1am to be told we didn't have a room despite making a booking 2 weeks previously and receiving a confirmation email. not very helpful and did not admit to having lost our booking. didn't look clean either.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer unten vorne.

Das Zimmer unten und zur Straße ist nicht ganz so schön, wie die Zimmer oben, aber auch dieses ist ab 10 Uhr Abends ruhig. Das Haus ist groß und schön, die Zimmer sauber.Die Lage super. Auch die Abholung vom Flugplatz hat sehr gut geklappt.

Wenn man wie wir am Wochenende ankommt sollte man aber wissen, dass es auf der Dachterasse ganz oben das Frühstück gibt und ein Blick von dort Oben lohnt sich.

Ich wünsche allen im Haus noch eine schöne Zeit. Gabriele

Casa Vieja is an excelent place to stay in Habana Vieja. It is in the heart of Habana Vieja, with all its pros and contras.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The best breakfast all around Cuba one can have here.

Will return defenatelly.

Lärmquellen sollten, soweit möglich, vermieden werden.

The owner was unbeleivable she never did what she promised, e.g. one day I asked room she said we have 2 rooms available for tomarrow, promised to reserve it for us, next day she said she has only one room,we learned that she gave it to a group, if you trust her you will stay the night in the streets etc etc. She has to be seriously worned to do what she promised.Some other people also complained about this matter.We are not the only example.

Great hostel, standard was much higher than most 4 star hotels. Was surprised to discover there was a beautiful roof top patio and bar. We had room nr 5, very modern, high ceilings, balcony with French doors with a fantastic view. Only minor draw back, the hostel that closes at 11pm. Overall, amazing stay and would highly recommend it!

Great friendly staff that have is good travel info.This is an exellent budget alternativ in the middle of old Havanna .
