Mabel ist die perfekte Gastgeberin. Sie ist sehr herzlich und macht ein wirklich fantastisches Frühstück mit frischen selbstgemachten Säften, Eiern, frischem tropischen Obst und Gemüse. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und groß. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet, sodass man selbst kochen könnte. Das Bett ist sehr bequem. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön und sicher. Es gibt einen Wifi Park direkt um die Ecke. Mabel ist sehr hilfsbereit und eine gute Freundin :) Die Wohnung ist definitiv eine Empfehlung, ich werde auf jeden Fall und sehr gerne wiederkommen!

Mabel es una persona maravillosa. A mi llegada a La Habana me dio un montón de consejos sobre cómo moverse en La Habana. Todos los días se fue a hacer la limpieza de la casa y siempre tenía una sonrisa y una palabra amable para los huéspedes. Hemos hablado mucho sobre la vida en Cuba y las costumbres locales. Mabel fue el mejor propietario que he conocido en mi viaje a Cuba. Belkis, que vive arriba, nos tendía a preparar el desayuno y la cena, ambos muy bueno y abundante. Belkis tambien es una persona seria, educada y amable. Me ayudó el día de llegada que no había cambiado el dinero. Tuvimos un gran momento en casa de Mabel. Volvimos tres días antes del viaje de regreso a Italia. Un abrazo y quizá nos encontraremos de nuevo a Cuba.

Miss Mabel is good to take care everything concerning our traveling. She calls taxi for us to buy tickets and go to air port. She is good for English for communications.
One thing is the location is rather not easy to find out as the flat is in interior block of building.
The breakfast and dinner is good to taste and quantity is sufficient at reasonable price.

Mabel was always very friendly and quick to help and even organized a taxi to collect us from the airport. We always felt like we were in good hands!
In the end we were placed in a different apartment just around the corner due to a last minute plumbing issue but were delighted with the accommodation and the very friendly hosts.
In terms of the location - it's great, so long as you enjoy a good stroll. We enjoyed the distance from Habana Vieja, as it gave us chance to explore a different area of the city and gave us a nice break from the masses of fellow tourists.
Thanks for all of your help Mabel! You gave us the perfect start to our Cuban adventure!

Acogedor apartamento situado a pocos minutos de La Habana Vieja, Centro, Vedado o Plaza de la Revolución.Maravillosas Mabel y Belki, harán que te sientas como en tu casa pendientes de ti en todo momento. Recomendable 100%. Espero volver algún dia.

Very far away from any sights, incl Old Havana. Must take transport to go anywhere. No restaurants or shops close by, pure residential area. Apartment size and facilities ok to what you pay. Could get a better matress and pillows. Quite

I had the pleasure to stay at Mabel's House, Havana, Cuba on the 27/28 February 2016.
I was able to maintain contact with Mabel before I arrived and also by telephone whilst in Cuba.
The Casa was easy to find and is in a nice area on a quiet street. There are some shops nearby. The Casa is about 2.5 km from "Old Town", which is a 40 min walk, but there are plenty of taxis available. The Casa is well located though for other sights, like the Revolution Square, which is nearby.
The Casa was clean and there is plenty of space. The is also air con if required.
Mabel met me on arrival and explained everything and how to turn on the gas for water heating etc.
Breakfast was provided by Belkis, a lovely neighbour from upstairs and it was delicious and perfect every day.
Lunch and dinner is also available at the Casa if you wish it.
This Casa is for the travellers own use. You have full access and can come and go as you please.
I would recommend staying at this Casa and would return again. Thanks Mabel and Belkis.

Muy bien situado, cerca a la plaza de la revolucion, apartamento muy amplio, la atencion de Mabel agradable, la señora Belkys del piso de arriba nos hizo las comidas muy deliciosas y muy amable.

Lamento mucho que el dia que llegaron no tocaran el timbre que decía Mabel´s House que es el nombre de la casa para la que hicieron la reserva, lo pueden confirmar en su booking y les explique por via E mail que los esperé en Mabel´s House hasta al rededor de la 1:00am y ese timbre nunca sonó, tocaron el que dice Mabel Rodríguez que es otro apartamento, alli no vive nadie, solo la persona que se renta, en el booking tambien se les ofrece un teléfono para contactarme, por qué no me llamaron?, es un lamentable incidente.

We stayed at Mabel's for a couple of days and we loved it so much we came back twice more! The location is slightly far out but you have your own apartment and help from the wonderful belky... Honestly, she made our stay and is such a lovely, kind woman!! Really recommend!

Es ist sehr weit zum Zentrum - Taxi oder rad erforderlich. Die Nachbarin kocht ein wunderbares schmackhaftes Essen (das beste, das ich auf Cuba aß)!!!Sehr empfehlenswert!!!! Alle waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das "Zimmer" war eine kleine Ferienwohnung mit Küche, Bad, Wohnzimmer und Schlafzimmer.

Es un departamento hermoso. Muy cerca de la plaza de la revolución. El desayuno riquísimo!!! Y lo mejor Mabel y belkis muy cálidas y excelentes anfitrionas... la pasamos de lujo!!!

Our stay at Mabel's house was wonderful. We were greeted Mabel's neighbor Belky who made us feel very welcome. She also prepared a wonderful breakfast for us the following morning. Mabel met us the next morning and told us exactly where to go to get exchange money and set up a cab to pick us up and take us to the bus stop. Great host and great apartment. I would recommend it!

I actually stayed with Anna Maria, Mabel's friend around the corner, but met Mabel when I was organising the next part of my travels to Vinales. She was lovely and Anna Maria and her family were wonderful. The breakfast was great and everyone was caring and helpful. Anna Maria was even waiting on my last night to ensure I got home safely. The price was really honest and, unlike in Trinidad or Vinales, everyone wanted to help me have a good time in Havana rather than want to earn more from my stay. The room was simple but nice with a lovely patio outside. An excellent stay all round!

Apartamento tranquilo entre Plaza de la Revolución, Habana Vieja y Vedado. Lejos de todo, cerca de nada. En 30 minutos máximo estás en cualquier parte a pie. Mabel y Belki son encantadoras y te proporcionan lo que necesites con tan solo pedirselo.

This house is managed by a friendly lady called Mabel and her housekeeping lady Belkis. Both are very pleasant and the appartment even has a kitchen, wich is a rare thing!!!

Mabel es una persona espectacular. No hay palabras para describirla. Te ayudará en todo lo que pueda respecto a tu viaje. Sentiras que es parte de tu familia. Estuve en casa de Mabel con mi madre por 4 noches y aunque Mabel no vive en el apartamento (el que es solo para el uso de los huéspedes), ella trabaja cerca de la casa e intentará visitarte y colaborarte en lo que más pueda, inclusive lavará tu ropa sin ningún cargo extra!! La señora que ofrece la alimentación vive en el piso de arriba, se llama Belkis y es otro sol. Muy amable y amorosa, además que COCINA DELICIOSO! Nuestra experiencia con Mabel y Belkis no pudo ser mejor. Ellas saben que las llevamos en el corazón. No duden en alojarse en casa de Mabel, sera la mejor decisión que tomen en Cuba.

el apartamento está genial, y Mabel es amabilísima, está cerca de la zona del Vedado, del centro está a 30 min caminando, nosotros hemos ido todos los días a pie, es un paseo largo pero bonito.

Staying at Mabel's was great. We had the apartment to ourselves but Mabel came by at least once a day to clean and make sure everything was alright.
Belkis (a neighbor) provides amazing breakfasts and dinners.
Located in Vedado about 10-15 min walk from most of Havanas clubs, but about a 30-40 min walk from the main touristy area around the capitol and Vieja.
MUCHO recommended!

Wirklich richtig gute Casa, sehr hilfsbereit, sehr zentral und super billiges Frühstück- das beste, was wir auf Kuba hatten.
Man füht sich sicher und gut aufgehoben in der Gegend,
Mabel kann sehr gut Englisch, was uns weiter geholfen hat und sie hat dafür gesorgt, dass wir in Vinales eine neue Casa bekommen haben, alles spitze- hip hip hura.

Mabel really saved our stay in Habana. We didn't have a guidebook, and it is impossible to find one in Cuba, so it was awesome to be able to ask Mabel all we needed to know (she even speaks English). The first day when we came she didn't open her door when we rang the bell. I think it is because the bell only works at times. So if this happens to you, try talking to the other people who live in the building. They know her, and we even found one who had Mabel´s phone number.
