You can also take ferries to Chioggia from Venice Lido or buses from the train stations of Venice Santa Lucia and Bologna which take you to Sottomarina/Chioggia almost every half hour.

By car:
From Austria (Innsbruck), Take the highway A22 from Brennero to Verona - A4 until Padova Interporto - Follow the signs for Piove di Sacco, then to Chioggia and finally towards the direction of Sottomarina Lido.
From Austria (Villach), Take highway A23 until Palmanova - A4 until Venice Mestre - SS309 Romea in the direction of Ravenna, take the Chioggia exit and then go towards Sottomarina Lido.
From Milan, take the highway A4 and the exit of Padova Interporto - follow the signs for Piove di Sacco, then Chioggia and finally Sottomarina Lido.
From Bologna, take highway A13, exit on Monselice, follow the signs for Chioggia and then towards Sottomarina Lido.
