Tulia House

Off links road - Mombasa, Кения

Указания (как се стига до хостела):

We are located about 18 kilometers from the airport, 15 kilometers from the railway station and 12 kilometers from Town Centre and bus stations.

There are a few modes of transport that you may use to get to us. You can catch a matatu (like shuttle buses but are vans and are privately owned, the cheapest option], a tuktuk (small 3 wheeled vehicles used like taxis), bodabodas (motorcycle taxis) or even proper taxis.

Arriving from the aiport
If you are getting to Mombasa by Air, you have two options:
Take a taxi, which would cost around 2,000KSH.
Take a shuttle bus into town (price T.B.C) and then take any of the public transport means to our premises (see below).

Arriving from city center (Town)
If you get into town by bus: most buses stop in the same central area but they all have their own stops at their offices.

If you get by train: the central station is located near the 'bus station' and prices and explanation on how to get to Tulia House and Camp are the same.

From there you can get to to us by 3 different means. In any case, when coming to us, please tell the driver or operator to go Tulia House near NYALI CITYMALL and NAIVAS CENTRE.

If you want to come by tuktuk (convenient if you are two o even three, and have luggage) it should cost between 500-700KSH per drive. Luggage has no surcharge. Tell the driver to go to City Mall or Naivas Center, in Nyali, and from there follow Links Road about 100 metres. We are localed almost behind Misono japanese restaurant.

Getting to Tulia by matatu is a bit more difficult. From the station get walking to Digo Road (main street in town) and there get any matatu heading to Bamburi o Mtwapa (it is written on the side of the van, or ask the conductor). They might go directly or maybe you will have to change at Congowea market. In any case, you should pay around 50-70 KES per person, total. Prices change sometimes on the traffic load. From City Mall or Naivas center during day time you can walk without problems to our place, we are only 200 metres from there. Or else, take a tuktuk, for about 50-100 KSH.

Taxis should cost around 1,600 KSH per drive (but they are not that easy to found)

Arriving from the north coast

If you are coming from the nort coast (Kilifi, Watamu, Malindi...) all public transport will pass right in front of City Mall Nyali, so ask the conductor or driver to get off there, instead of going all the way down to town (and then having to come all the way back up...)
