Klein hostel met verouderde inrichting en vaak vieze badkamers. Kamers werden wel vaak schoongemaakt en voor de prijs was het prima. Goede locatie!

En este hostal dejan fumar, y en España hay un LEY ANTITABACO. Las habitaciones no huelen bien, por eso, por falta de ventilación y porque necesita una mano de pintura.

hôtel très bien situé, à 5minutes à pied de la plaza del sol, et entouré de plusieurs bouches de métro. Etablissement tranquille, propre, chambre spacieuse avec télé. Personnel peut avenant mais disponible en cas de questions ou problème. Dans l'ensemble très bon rapport qualité/prix que nous conseillons.

Che dire: alla porta di ingresso ti accoglie uno yeti della val brembana, che parla a sbiascichi e sembra che sia sempre prossimo all'infarto,l'hotel puzza di cimitero e nelle stanze c'è più silicone e ruggine che intonaco.Una gioia.

Quite ok when you only have one night in Madrid as we had. The room and bathroom were clean, but basic. The woman running the hostel did not speak English, but she was friendly enough.

I'd say that is a cheap hostal, quite enough for a short period and very well located! In 5 min you are in the metro station that is only one stop to the city center, SOL! When you enter the place it smells like old, i don't know, something weird! The guy in the reception is quite old, so he only speaks Spanish, but for me it wasn't a problem! Considering the room, it was enough for me and my other 3 friends, free internet access, TV and a washbasin! The bath is outside of the room and clean! Good for a short period!

Buen cuarto y hasta con tv, no hay cocina y no hay area comun, tampoco te incluye desayuno, si buscas conocer gente en el hostal esta no es opcion, si buscas tranquilidad y seguridad es buena opcion.Cerca de metro y tiendas

The Xucar hostal is situated in a very good place, near to the center of Madrid.
Rooms and bathroom are clean.
The only negative aspect I could find is, that no one there can speak in english.

Il proprietario non saluta nemmeno all'arrivo, le condizioni igieniche sono pessime e in zona ce ne sono altri migliori a parità di prezzo. Unico pregio: letto comodo :-)

Very central - great location - no amenities, really, but a good price for Madrid. (must pay in cash; must speak Spanish because they do not speak English)

Location is really good, rooms are a bit run down, but very clean. The staff (consisting of some guy and his wife I presume) does not talk a lot but does it's job. All in all maybe not the first place I'd check but definitely fine to stay if you're not after party or the typical "hostel atmosphere"!

Apesar da aparência do hostel dar uma ma impressão, a localização e otima e os hospedes tem bastante liberdade. Ficamos com a chave para entrar a qualquer hora. Deixamos coisas de valor no quarto e elas estavam la quando voltamos.

Pagamos 13€ para la reservación, que no nos asustó perder para irnos enseguida en otro hostal. Esperamos 30minutos delante la puerta, y cuando por fin entramos, fue por unos clientes, descubrimos que no había recepción (entonces no llaves!!) y nos asustamos de verdad por su promiscuidad. Si os gustan la pelis de horror es el sitio perfecto!

It's an old place with only one bathroom for7-8 rooms. I miss the kithen as well, but everything is clean, and has a realy good position, near to almost every famous places.(Plus easy to find the flat, because they send a helpful email)

El lugar me pareció horrible, tanto así que cancelé la reserva y fui a otro. No tienen recepción, es oscuro, no es limpio y el trato del personal es pésimo. NO se lo recomiendo a nadie.

The hostal keep does not speak even a word of English. He was also a chain smoker. Worst of all, he demanded cash payment upfront, rather than charge with credit card. All of these combined made it a miserable stay.

The guy in charge smokes constantly and the whole hostel smells like a Cuban cigar. Also, this guy enter my room at 6:30 am WITHOUT knocking on the door, because he thought I hadn't paid for that night. I was scared out of my mind, could sleep after that.
I changed hotel as soon as I could.

Good location but rooms very hot in summer - no common lounge area,and did not appreciate having the owner barge into my room with his key at some ungodly hour of 6am

El hostel estuvo muy tranquilo, muy limpio. Caminando puedes llagar a las plazas mas imporantes.
El sr que nos recibio no fue muy amable pero la sra encargada si lo es.

Non è un'ostello per come intendiamo in italia.. Direi più un affittacamere, in una casa un pò vintage.. ma tutto sommato la posizione è buonissima!!! per il prezzo che ha è decisamente ok!!!!

Bijzonder goed gelegen, op enkel minuten place mayor en andere trek pleisters.
Oudere kamers maar wel proper en goede bedden. Met een heel goed restaurant met paëlla op de plaats kant van lidl. Met zondag de markt op een 300m voor de sfeer op te snuiven.

La posizione dell'ostello è molto buona e comoda per la visita della città. Tutto il resto lascia a desiderare a cominciare dalla puzza di fumo che impregna i locali, dai servizi esterni spesso sporchi, dalla poca privacy delle camere, dall'essere svegliati in piena notte dalle persone che suonano il campanello per chiedere se ci sono posti disponibili! Ci sono molte cose da migliorare!

Por 20 euros/noche -bien, no se puede pedir mas con los precios que hay por la zona. Buen colchon no se hunde, silencio total por lo menos la noche que dormi yo.

Quando tornerò a Madrid mi sistemerò sicuramente ancora qui. Sembra di entrare in casa propria. Il posto è carino, collocato in posizione comoda e pulito.

Stuff doesn't speak English. Location of Hostel is great and hostel itself is very old but clean. Sometimes nosy as rooms have thin walls. Good for 1-2 nights where price does matter. Overall rank: 3.5/5

Xucar is a very nice hostel, it´s clean and has everything you need. It´s managed by a charming old lady and right in the center of madrid.

A couple rents rooms in their appartment in the 60s style. Very clean, evrything gets cleaned daily, also bathrooms, woman even makes beds every day. Not very sociable though, but in a great location close to the center. metro within 3 Min. At night mostly quiet.
