The hostel was clean and bathroom facilities were good. Kitchen was clean but there was an old German man that seemed to reside there for majority of the day and must've felt like he owned the dining area and he would often tell people to lock the door even though it's a public area and the door should be open. I witnessed him say racist comments if people didn't enter without declaring hola to the whole room. He made the stay pretty uncomfortable and we avoided the kitchen because of him

I loved the terrace (1st floor) at purple nest. Don't know why we had to move from red to purple but the terrace was really cool

Great hostel, lovely vibe! The only things that I found difficult were that there was no in-built way to lock the lockers. Most other hostels I've stayed in lately don't require you to bring/buy your own lock. Also, it was a pity that breakfast was not included.

Todas las instalaciones muy limpias, céntrico y personal muy amable, sobre todo la camarera de la terraza. Por poner una única pega, las duchan que no regulaban bien la temperatura, o muy caliente o fría. Muy recomendable

I liked the terrace on the roof: a good way to meet new people.
The location is perfect, the price fare.
May be it would be easy to have the air conditionee controller in the room.

Excellent position and kind staff. I've only experienced two main problem:
- The wi-fi didn't work
- The bathroom at my floor didn't work
Probably I was just unlucky and I would recommend your hostel anyway.

We've been only two nights there, but it has been an amazing experience. The staff was really kind and helpful. We met plenty of interesting people there and we could practise our english. It's a nice and cosy Hostel. If I come back to Valencia some day, I'm absolutely sure I'll choose the Red Nest Hostel again!

I love this place :) lost my handbag at the official LaTomatina after party. The next day I checked into Red Nest and they had my bag at the desk waiting for me - all my cards etc still inside my purse! no idea how, but so impressed someone took the time & effort to make that happen. In my expereince Red Nest really goes above & beyond in the level of service provided

Excellent hostel. 100% recommended.
Very friendly staff, very large kitchen and dining room, very large common room/bar and rooftop terrace. All the common spaces made it easy to meet other travellers. The organized walking tour was great.
Rooms and bathrooms were nice and clean. No complaints!

Quite nice hostel with very good location right in the historic center of Valencia. Rooms are a little bit too small and some of them have windows just 50 cm from the outside wall so there is not much air coming through. Other than that, bathrooms could use a little bit more cleaning and more activities for guests (we usually used to go to Purple nest)

Thank you for your review, we have different types of rooms, some of them are bigger than others and we are open to change the room (in our possibilities) to whoever that doesn't feel comfortable because of space or other things. Also, we are taking note on cleaning better the bathrooms.

had higher expectations of the hostel. as it was out of season there weren't any rooftop activities and only on the weekend the bar is open. I think you should put it on your website

We are very sorry that you got disappointed about our hostel. When it's an off season, it is impossible to make all the same activities that we do during the high season but we do our best to keep the hostal alive and colourful also during the winter also. We have two hostels close to each other so in case in one of them the athmosphere is too quiet, you can alway jump to the other one :)

Our policy is that alcohol isn´t allowed in the hostel.
The bar was shut because it is low season and there isn´t that many people in common areas. But we hope that you enjoyed your stay apart from that!

Tenemos habitaciones que tienen ventana hacía la calle. Las vistas son muy bonitas pero claro, el ruido de los coches entra un poco a las habitaciones. También tenemos habitaciones que tienen ventanas al interior del edificio y estamos encantados de cambiar habitación a cualquiera que no se sienta cómoda en su habitación por ruido o por otro motivo que sea!
Esperamos verte otra vez en nuestro hostal y poder ofrecerte las habitaciones más silenciosas.

I've stayed at about eight different hostels while being in Spain, and Red Nest is by far the best "value for money". The staff were lovely, and it's the cheapest hostel I've ever been too and had breakfast included on the price. The kitchen facilities and food storage were spacious, and there's lots of common places to sit. The wifi acted up a couple times, but it was good enough for me to skype people in the U.S. and in Namibia. Also, considering the location, this hostel is a great place to stay.

Price and location are great (really close to Colòn metro station and excellent to walk arond El Carmen) and I appreciated the staff kindness. Breakfast could be improved a little (I've read that soy milk was part of the vegetarian braeakfast but actually there was none) and the showers would be really more confortable with some hangers or hooks to hold towels and stuff.

Had a great time at the red nest hostel. Recommend doing the walking tour and trying the "agua de valencia" the only slightly annoying thing was that the water in the showers turns off about every 30 seconds so you have to keep turning it on

Very nice hostel and its normal price totally worth it. I had to stay in Valencia for the period of the tomatino festival and so the price was pretty high.

Tolles Hostel. Schön, um Gleichgesinnte für Reisen oder Erasmusaufenthalte zu finden. Lockere Stimmung, super nette Rezeption, tolle Lage mitten in der Stadt und auch in der Nähe zur Metro die an den Stadtstrand fährt. Das einzige war, dass die meisten Schließfächer im Zimmer nur mit einem Hängeschloss genutzt werden konnten. Aber die kann man sich auch an der Rezeption ausleihen. Alles in allem, hatte ich eine super Zeit und würde es auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!
