We want to invite you to such a good place, staying wherein, we are sure, will bring lots of warm memories to your heart. It's a pretty positive and friendly place by its energy for every traveler, for your tired legs and lively and enquiring mind.

Our Estancia La Margarita is located nearby town of Tapalque, only 3 hours from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since 1870 adventurers and gauchos as well as Indians liked to stay here. In fact, life almost has not changed much in this vast, beautiful area, and you can be uplifted by the restful and stress-free way of life that you can experience while visiting La Margarita and surrounding areas. Here you can discover a way of life that has almost disappeared in many parts of the modern world.

Spanish word 'estancia' means 'ranch', where gauchos, South American cowboys, are living. Here you can get vivid adventures or, conversely, time for serenity and laying down under a glorious canopy of stars, chilling out in a hammock. We offer personal atmosphere, here you will get in touch with the owner, David Cummings, calling himself jokingly 'English Gaucho' and warm staff.

Estancia La Margarita has spacious and comfortable en-suite rooms. We can offer you 2 types of rooms. First of them cost US $130 per person per 24-hours stay. The room price includes delicious home cooking (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner) complemented by soft drinks or one bottle of glorious Argentinean wine and maid service.

We have made 3 rooms in our Guest House available for backpackers. We know that many backpackers prefer hostels for accommodation, but we think our offer is much better. At the moment for these guest house rooms we charge just US $55 per person per 24-hours stay. Please note, that no meals, wine or maid service are included, so you need to bring your own - sorry about that! But they have all the facilities to prepare their own food. We need a MINIMUM booking of at least 2 NIGHTS for these special rate rooms. We really want everyone to have an opportunity to enjoy our Estancia La Margarita and Argentina and if you book one of these rooms – who knows maybe you will come back as five star guests one day.

All rooms are really nice and come fully equipped with cooker, fridge, microwave, gas fire and private bathroom and heating, etc. Sheets and towels are also provided. ALMOST ALL ROOMS ARE DOUBLE AND WE CAN PUT IN DOUBLE OR SINGLE BEDS AS GUESTS WANT - MOST ROOMS CAN TAKE THREE PEOPLE IF NEEDED.

Once you have settled in to your room, you are free to do whatever you want. All the facilities and activities we offer are at your service and included in the price for rooms of both categories.

A horse riding (daily, depending on availability and weather conditions) over the beautiful pampas. And certainly, what an estancia without Argentine gauchos and horses?! Gauchos who work on La Margarita will be happy to spend time with you to teach you horse riding. Don't worry, we have horses that are easy-tempered and especially suitable for beginners.

Ok, well, if you wish you can get on bicycle – we have a number of – and rush to Tapalque, a traditional gaucho town, which is about 12 km away.

Or you may simply take walking. Choose any direction and ahead! – to explore more than 1000 hectares of the land of La Margarita and the neighborhoods.

Even more, in summer you can jump into the swimming pool with splashes!!! In winter you can have pleasant evenings nearby enormous log-burning fireplace, sharing a glass of wine with fellow guests or relax with a good book.

Want to go fishing in the nearby Tapalque stream and lakes? We'll run you there for fresh river fish.

Also you may have a potential opportunity to supply estancia with milk by your own hands. Get up early in the morning and we will give you master class in milking our cows. They will be extremely grateful to you for relaxing massage; and our staff, cats and guests – for the breakfast milk.

Bird watching. Not only people enjoy La Margarita. Here you'll see joyful flock of birds. It is really impressive to observe them, and photographers among you would make good pictures.
