Casa Amada Centro Habana

Casa Amada is in the middle of Centro Habana, where the life is. The entire staff is extremely helpful and friendly! It felt like staying at a friend's place. The breakfast ist fresh and very tasty. Oh and the roof top terrasse is a great place to chill out!

lovely dining room and 2living rooms, rooms with high cealing, clean , spacious, very quiet, but with no view. location is 15mn walk to vedado or HabVeja,but in a neighbourhood where many houses are in very bad state.house is safe and street safe too. Malecon is 7 min walk.

It is located about 10 minutes on foot from the Old Havana. The room was a little narrow, but the staff were kind.

Well located, quite street. quiet house. the staff is great! breakfast very nice! a great value for the money!

It was situated in a rougher part of Havana than say the old quarter (Havana Vieja) but walkable to main sights. The entry is not at free will since you ring the door and someone from inside has to buzz you in each time and at any time of the day and night. Upon check-in the lady spoke no English but the next morning a different lady did.

Tolle, sehr familiär geführte Casa. Man fühlt sich herzlich willkommen. Sehr gute Lage.

It's more a hostel than a casa particular. There are about 5 rooms, not a very local feeling. The owners are not there, but the manager is really nice and speaks perfect English. Very helpful. It's located between the old centre, Miramar and plaza revolution. All in 10/15 minutes walking distance, because Havana is big. Decent place to stay, but there are better typical casas. Breakfast is good.

Room was excellent and reception staff were spot on. However some of the pool staff were woeful, ie had to order 3 times before we actually got our drinks. Also with the amount of $s paid having to pay an additional amount for breakfast was not justifiable

Clean and comfy rooms. Great value for price. You need to walk a little to reach Habana Vieja but the area is safe and you can see real Cuban life

Sehr freundliche, kompetente und kommunikative Besitzerin, die das Haus, welches zentral gelegen (Havanna Centro) mit sauberen Zimmern und mit gutem Service auftrumpfen kann, zusammen mit einem Freund leitet. Das Frühstück ist für kubanische Verhältnisse ausgezeichnet- vor allem der Kaffee.

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist gut - wir werden gern wieder kommen.

I thoroughly enjoyed my entire stay in Havana. Casa Amada is nice and clean. We were within walking distance of central and old Havana. It was nice not being in old Havana, and instead closer to more of the locals.

I read many great reviews of Casa Amada and I have to say I agree with most of them. My only complaint with my stay is the woman running the place at this time, Lupa. She could be very snobby and judgmental, bordering on rude at times. She reminded me of my great-grandmother as she grew older, more senile and lost her ability to censor speech. I do not know if this is the case with Lupa, or if it is just her personality. In many ways, she was a great host and genuinely wanted the guests to enjoy their time. Other times, she made it very uncomfortable to come back to the casa. I definitely would have appreciated more class and respect from Lupa.

Overall, Casa Amada is one of the nicer places to stay in Havana.

Seria importantisimo de especificar que hay qye pagar en efectivo (cash) en casi todas la casas particuares al final de la estancia porque la confimacion que recibimos por correo electronico dice lo siguiente : A la llegada se puede pagar con las siguientes tarjetas de crédito...

IL NOSTRO SOGGIORNO A CASA AMADA E' STATO OTTIMO. CI SIAMO TROVATI MOLTO BENE ..CON LA GENTILISSIMA SIGNORA LUPE E CON TUTTO IL PERSONALE.COLAZIONI MOLTO BUONE, E STANZA PULITA E SPAZIOSA. CONSIGLIAMO VIVAMENTE DI SOGGIORNARE NEL CENTRO HABANA, ALMENO PER QUALCHE GIORNO ...QUI TROVERETE LA VERA HABANA!!!

A super gracious and helpful staff. The lady in charge speaks great English and is delighted to help make reservations for buses, taxis, etc. Central Havana is a little boring, however.

L'hôte a changé le lieu de réservation.

Die Casa Amada hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Lage ist sehr zentral. Die Gastleute sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wenn man keine großen Ansprüche hat, sind die Doppelzimmer und das einfache Bad vollkommen ausreichend.Beim Frühstück trifft man tolle Leute aus vielen verschiedenen Ländern.

Deze Casa zit erg ver van het leuke oude centrum van Havana. Verder staan de fotos van de goedkoopste kamers niet op de site, waardoor je niet kunt zien wat je boekt. De goedkoopste kamers zijn namelijk absoluut niet aan te raden. We hadden weinig frisse lucht en geen warm water in de badkamer.

Zentrale Lage. Ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß in die Altstadt. Frühstück und Abendessen (auf Anfrage) sind super. Zimmer zweckmäßig mit Klimaanlage, Ventilator und Kühlschrank. Sehr freundliche Besitzer und Mitarbeiter. Offen und sehr hilfsbereit bei Fragen und Problemen.

Die Lage ist optimal, nur 4'-5' zu Fuss bis zur Altstadt.Die Umgebung ist allerdings gewöhnungsbedüfrtig. Dies wird aber durch einen sehr guten Service ausgeglichen. Lupe, die Dame des Hauses ist sehr herzlich und besonders hilfsbereit.Also alles empfehlenswert. Jürgen

Very amicable and helpful casa owner. Breakfast is quite good, with strong, delicious coffee. Attentive staff. Bedroom is nothing special, but suited our needs just fine. Location is not really near much of anything, though China town is only a few blocks, so if you don't mind a slightly longer walk to Havana Vieja this is a pretty good spot. Recommended.

Nice, clean place about 15 minutes walk from Old Havana. Very safe (door opened only by staff) and staff is kind anf helpful. As it's often the case in Cuba, rooms are small and some have no windows, but it's fine.

Tiene 4 habitaciones decentes y 2 horribles. Si vais que sea en las buenas, son muy poco más caras e infinitamente mejores. La ubicación es la peor de la Habana, en zona de nadie, un barrio muy feo. Yo me alojaria en vedado (mejor ambiente nocturno y creo que precio). La zona más bonita de visitar es la habana vieja, tb es mejor para alojarse. Centro habana lo único positivo es que te permite ir andando (30-50 min)a cualquiera de los otros dos sitios

Bonita casa con mejores amfitriones, muy cerca del meollo cubano, de su gente, proxima al malecon, a la Habana centro, cerca de todo! Desayunos excepcionales que te hacen coger fuerza para todo el dia! Muy buenos consejos y buenos transfers para ir a tu proximo destino cubano. Una estancia de 4 noches, perfecta! An incredibly warm and friendly casa particular that is in a great location for close proximity to Havana's main museums, bars, and the Malecon. Highly recommend for anyone.

Very friendly staff, great value for money, and good location close to both Malecon and the old town. Not so many restaurants in the area, though.

Sehr nette Casa, die schon mehr einem kleinen Hostel gleicht, mit einigen Angestellten, super Frühstück und wirklich praktisch ist, dass zu jeder Tages-Nachtzeit jemand da ist. Also An- und Abreisezeit ist völlig egal. Wir kamen in der Nacht dort an, alles lief problemlos ab und an unserem Abreisetag durften wir unser Gepäck dort unterstellen und abends sogar nochmal duschen, obwohl wir mittags bereits ausgecheckt hatten. TOP.
