A cozy 2-star hotel close to Matosinhos center. Friendly and well serving staff. Be prepared for the continental breakfast and that steps and some noises from other rooms are heardable.

Impeccable, quartier tranquille, restaurants à proximité, plage à 200m et aéroport à 15mn : rapport qualité/prix imbattable.
Un bémol : mieux vaut savoir comprendre le Portugais...de Porto !

The hostel was great, more like a hotel. Very clean and nice staff. A little far from Porto, yet, was easily accessible by metro. I would totally stay here again.

Uma residencial muito boa! Atendimento muito bom! Limpeza em ordem! Bem perto do metro e a praia esta a uns 15min a pé. Os quartos com tudo em ordem e refencentemente renovados. Sempre que eu vou ao Porto nao penso duas vezes em fazer a minha reserva aqui. Preço/qualidade tambem perfeito!

Excellent stay for the price. The location and the included breakfast are very convenient. The only minus point was a random mechanical pump noise coming from the outside, even at night. I guess it can be heard only from one side of the hotel. Fortunately it was covered by the sound of the AC.

This was our second stay in the hotel Residencial Senhor de Matosinhos and, obviously, we wouldn't have come back if we weren't really happy. And the second time too we weren't disappointed. We were COMPLETELY CHARMED by this little hotel and the FRIENDLY STAFF. We felt completely at home here. We love Matosinhos too. It feels like we visited a piece of real Portugal. Some of the houses in the main street are completely delapidated but the little street cafes and fish restaurants are full of life and great food and friendly people. The beach is great but not really touristy. The metro takes you to Porto in 20 minutes - or take the bus along the coast. I recommend the hotel to anyone who wants to go just a little off the beaten track.
