Nice Hostel In A Good Location.

Dangerous beds without barriers for the bunk beds. wifi sucks like every hostel. Few power outlets in the room. Self service for the breakfast. Private bathroom appreciated. Good for staying there for a few days.

What is annoying in States, you never know how much you will pay, since they dont show the taxes in the price. That was a big surprise for me as i was about to pay. It should be included in prise and shown right by the booking how much do i have to pay. The staff was ok, but it wasnt that clean. The location was not bad, but you need to walk a bit from bus/tram stop. From the metro is a quite a walk, coz it's uphill.

This hostel made me realize why all female dorms are important. Also, there were spots of what seemed like blood on our sheets.

Rooms sre not the cleanest I have seen. It would help if they had wooden floors instead of the rugs. The badroom were decent.

Hotel bien situé, avons dormi dans deux chambres pour 4 au sous sol dont une donnait sur la rue : bruyant pendant la nuit. Chambres vieillottes mais foctionelles.Pancakes au déjeuner agréables. Surtout interessant pour le prix et la situation.

I tought it was a better hostel. The wifi and breakfast are really terrible. I think this hostel is expensive and offers an service that's is not compatible with its price.

When We arrive, we paid and didn t receive our invoice so We couldn t control our nimber of nights. Afterwards there sas à probem, one night was not booked.

Far too much cigarette smoke; even with signs stipulating to keep away from doors and open windows, many people smoke and nothing is done to stop it.

This was an extremely clean hostel. The washroom and bedroom were cleaned everyday. I found the staff to be very helpful with my questions. Price and location were excellent. The decor was a bit dated. I read a lot of negative reveiews about this hostel before I arrived, but I found those complaints completely unfounded. Thsi was an excellent hostel.

Bonne auberge de jeunesse, bonne ambiance et bon rapport qualité prix. Rien à dire, si ce n'est par rapport à la propreté et l'hygiène. Cuisine un peu petite, moquette à rafraichir.

No bedside lamp.Bathroom sink & shower handles pull off easily; extension cord across floor-trip hazard; no elevator-not for seniors; broken window glass;curtains falling & torn.

Staff at front desk were not hugely helpful. Breakfast set up is extremely basic and the hostel in general is pretty dingy. Also no where to really hang out and meet people. It was however clean and in a good location.

The bunk beds are in desperate need of ladders!!! Getting up onto the top bunk is a pain in the ass!!!

Great place for the price! Plenty of room for me and my belongings! The place was bigger than I expected with a great patio, dining area and kitchen!

I was impressed with the laundry room too! I will stay again and will recommend for sure!

My experience with the hostel was fine (it was a little rundown but had a good location), until there was a plumbing problem in my room. A pipe busted in the back tank of the toilet in the early morning while I was asleep and the hostel woke me up by banging on my door. The staff then proceeded to threaten to call the cops, and said it was going to charge me for the water damage for my floor and the floors below me. Instead of acknowledging it as a facilities problem on their end and compensating me, they are currently causing major headaches by not processing my debit card transaction with the amount we agreed upon. Worst hostel I have ever experienced thanks to the beyond terrible customer service and rundown building.

To quote another review, Amsterdam Hostel is 'not for hostel virgins'. In a very good location, this hostel provides a very comfortable environment and pancake breakfast and internet... good enough for me.

The staff was not very helpful. Kitchen was closed for half of our stay. Water was out for a full day. Not as clean as it could have been. You get what you pay for I guess.

O breakfast é sofrivel pois o cafe é aquele cafe parecendo agua de batata e só tem para comer uma panqueca que voce mesmo tem que fazer e provavelmente voce já comeu coisa melhor

Good hostel, renovated hotel, a lot of rooms. Rooms are nice, beds are okay. Some bunk beds don´t have ladders. They made me change rooms.

Breakfast is pancakes ready made mix, and coffee.

Ok hostel. Kitchen is kinda dirty. Breakfast is make your own pancakes

Sucio, habitación vieja, nos quedamos dos noches y no limpiaron entre ambas. Lo único bueno el emplazamiento. Caro para lo que es. Ruidoso y cutre. Sabanas viejas. Baño enano.

We had a fabulous time with our 5th and 6th grade classes on our school trip from Oregon. We will definitely return. What a treat!

I had an awful experience during my stay in AAE due to the very bad noises in the room 207.

During the 3-night stay, we were awaked every single day by the noises in late night around 11pm and in very early morning around 5am.

The noise we heard in room 207 came from the old steam heating system.

And, it’s a known & long existing problem.

We didn’t get to change room and the noises never go away.

We never had a good rest during the stay. This is very disappointing.

I wish there’s no more other people will experience the same situation in room 207.

My girlfriend and I didn't expect much, so we were satisfied with the twin-bed and the bathroom. The toilet was a little creapy, due to running randomly sometimes (also in night). It's good for young and poor students ;)

I've stayed in dirtier hostels, just not in a first world country. But location is good, staff fine. Atmosphere was a bit weird/insular but I only stayed one night.

The hostel was interesting. A lot of cool people and good conversation.

I am giving a bad review to this website however who says that there was an $8 "deposit" when in actuality its 8 you pay them and don't get back. I hope everyone knows what "deposit" means.

Well, it's cheap. So don't expect too much!

Its not a beautiful place but has everything you need. Free make-them-yourself pancakes for breakfast are good. There is free tea and coffee all day. Position is good, but don't expect a nice view when you look out of the window. wifi signal is unreliable but eh, it's free, right?

Staff are chilled, good atmosphere and met so many great people. Wifi is a bit slow but facilites and cleanliness are both good.

Great place for a student or young adult looking for a deal, it was a bit loud but I'm not disturbed by it, though the broken heater was clicking loudly and it was a bit annoying. I didn't mind most of the noises, though some people might be. I would recommend to other friends for sure if they needed a cheap place. I wish the checkout time was a bit later.

I thought this hostel was pretty great for what it's worth. The only problem was the stinky people in my room, not the room itself! I loved the tv room downstairs and the free breakfast. Most of the staff were really friendly but a couple weren't as nice. I'll stay there again!
