camping bien situé, très propre, personnel charmant, juste un peu bruyant. On connaissait le camping en tente, on a découvert la chambre, ideale pour un passage rapide!

We loved the venue - once we got the accommodation that suited our needs. It was better than a lot of hotels we stayed in during our Europe trip. Loved the facilities and convenience.

Very nice place in the middle of Chianti countryside. 30 minutes from each of site highlights (Siena, Firenze and S.Gimignano). The camping is a real 4 star; the cheap accomodation booked in this site is a very small bungalow (no aircon) with just 3 small beds and a wc. A pity being there just one night, there was a nice atmosphere in public areas (pizza restaurants, ice cream shops, swimming pool with very nice landscape!).

PS: I'm italian but the place seems to be very popular by foreigners (especially from holland); felt like a stranger in homeland!:)

This is a very beautiful place to stay with many fun activities. The restaurant staff were super friendly and the food was both delicious and not a bad price. Unfortunately, the caravan didn't have heating and was quite cold. The convenience of the location couldn't have been too much worse for people without a car as it is far from the train station with no public transport. It was difficult, long and dangerous to walk there (no path, only walking along a windy road with zooming cars). Shuttle bus was too infrequent (one in the morning and one in the early evening) and was not a free service. A taxi ride there costs between 10-12 Euros from the train station. The card paying system at the hostel was slightly inconvenient. The scenery there is really amazing, though and there are nice walks in the hills.

Terrible location. Nice to be out in the countryside but a 20min train ride from Florence's central station, plus a 10min drive from the nearest station (Figline Valdarno), is pushing it too far. Especially because the village only runs 2 shuttle buses from the station to the campsite; one in the morning, one in the evening, which aren't even coordinated with the arrival times of trains, so you waste a lot of time waiting (ie.you need to set aside at least 1.5hrs to get into Florence in the morning). So if you want to go into Florence at any other time, you need to take a take a taxi (8-10euros) to the station (you could try walking, but it'd take a good half an hr). So definitely not the place to stay if the main goal of your stay is to see the city of Florence; the location of the accommodation is just too restrictive.

Quite an interesting set-up otherwise. A real camping 'village', complete with its own grocery store, pool, gift shop, bars and restaurants. Would have liked to have acces to kitchen facilities though (obviously only a problem if you're staying in a cabin/tent, rather than a caravan/mobile home), otherwise you're forced to buy easy to eat food from the grocery store or dine at one of the restaurants (neither of which aren't particularly cheap).

Generally wouldn't recommend it to young ppl (unless you're in a big group), because there really isn't much to do on the site at night, unless you can afford to always hang around in the restaurants. There's a 'discotheque', but i'd b a little sceptic about the quality of the place. And internet access (ridiculously over priced) is only until 8pm; if you spend the day in Florence, you really don't have time to make use of it by the time you get back to the village.

Cabins were reasonably comfortable, although on the small side. And insulation at night is atrocious; heating or blankets provided do nothing to eliminate the chill that sets in. During the day, beware of letting insects in (tip: bring insect repellent because the grocery store conveniently doesn't sell any).

Definitely more of a place for young families, or big family/friend groups.
