Old Roma

The place was clean and quiet. The staff cleaned every day and changed my wet towels. The location is great, 10 minutes far from Termini by walk, and the Colosseum is 15-20 minutes far also by walk. In the near are some great restaurants and supermarket too.

And Bernardo really kindly, I was in more 1 hour late, and that was no problem with him. On my last day was a rainy day, i could left my baggage in the Old Rome and Bernardo gave me his umbrella.

The Old Rome is great choice to stay in Rome.

I arrived at 10:30 in the morning in front of the home purchase . It was quite difficult to find the bell. I book the room in the morning at 11.00 even though I said I'd be in the room is still the previous guest , therefore, they said they could not let me in. They advised me to come wandering around 1 hour . My train arrived in the morning at 6 am in Rome and was already around 4.5 hours . I left the building I found a new motel for the same price .

They aren't serious at all. They didn't respect my reservation, even I did this three months before.

Premetto che io presso l'Old Roma non ci sono mai stata perche', pur avendo prenotato con loro 5 notti due mesi prima della mia vacanza a Roma (con tanto di anticipo pagamento di €35 per il deposito), all'arrivo, alle ore 22:30 del 30 aprile 2015, sono stata accolta da un certo sig. Bernardo che mi ha detto che stava provando a cercare una soluzione per me e per il mio compagno. Aggiungo subito che ci abbiamo messo molta fatica e tempo a trovare l'Old Roma (in realta' non un hotel o un B&B ma una stanza a quanto pare) poiche' le indicazioni stradali riportate sul sito non sono veritiere. Infatti, il posto in cui e' situato Old Roma e' molto piu' distante rispetto a quanto e' stato scritto online. A seguito dell'incontro con il sig. Bernardo, siamo stati condotti presso l'hotel Bixio, nella stessa strada dell'Old Roma, qualche incrocio piu' avanti. Durante il breve tragitto il sig. Bernardo enfatizzava il fatto di stare a farci un favore e che dovevamo essergli grati. Una volta arrivati all'hotel Bixio abbiamo finalmente capito di essere nelle mani di uno che utilizza l'Old Roma come prestanome. Per farla breve, il tale sig. Bernardo prende prenotazioni online presso la famigerata Old Roma e poi cerca di smistare i malcapitati un po' qua' e un po' la' chiedendo a vari alberghetti da quattro soldi di riservare una camera per loro, quando e' necessario. Come se cio' non bastasse, il sig. Bernardo pretendeva che ripagassimo i 35 euro di caparra che avevamo gia' pagato online come anticipo. A suo dire, quei 35 euro erano le spese di commissione applicate dal sito presso il quale avevamo prenotato, sebbene sul sito e sulla prenotazione fosse scritto a chiare lettere che la prenotazione era gratuita e che all'arrivo avremmo dovuto pagare solo la differenza tra il totale e i 35 euro che erano stati prelevati dalla carta di credito al momento della prenotazione. L'hotel Bixio si e' rivelato un posto lurido, dove sporcizia e insetti si accumulano incontrastati. I sanitari in bagno erano disgustosi, per non parlare della tenda della doccia che, oltre ad essere vecchia e maleodorante, non riusciva neanche a contenere il flusso dell'acqua della doccia, con conseguente inondazione del bagno! Le lenzuola puzzavano di alchool e fumo e nel letto abbiamo trovato peli pubici. Non sapendo dove altro andare, abbiamo deciso di trascorrere la notte li' ma l'indomani abbiamo perso mezza giornata della nostra breve vacanza a cercare un altro posto dove trascorrere le altre notti. Da notare che si trattava del 1 maggio e che e' stato difficilissimo trovare un posto libero a Roma. Inoltre, la connessione internet era pessima presso l'hotel Bixio e, pertanto, essendo un giorno festivo, non avevamo altra opzione se non quella di camminare senza meta e peregrinare da una parte all'altra del centro chiedendo a tutti gli alberghi che ci trovavamo davanti se avessero una stanza disponibile. Dopo 4 ore di cammino e di richieste abbiamo finalmente trovato una camera presso l'hotel Montreal in Via Carlo Alberto (metro A, fermata Vittorio Emanuele). Cosi', siamo scappati dall'orrore dell'hotel Bixio per rifugiarci nel comfort dell'hotel Montreal. Esausti! Assolutamente da sconsigliare Old Roma e hotel Bixio.

Tutto a posto, a parte il fatto che ho prenotato all'Old Roma e mi hanno dato una camera all'Hotel Bixio, nell'isolato accanto, cmq i portinai del Bixio erano simpatici!

Very far away from the center, 10-15 min to walk to the next metro station as well as Termini station. Breakfast is in a bar that is also 10 min away by walking. The shower was a lot to small and dirty. The surrounding area is ugly and you don't feel safe at night.

Centralissimo e comodissimo

Camera fornita di tutto il necessario, buona posizione vicino vari mezzi pubblici e soprattutto ottima la disponibilità del proprietario.

Zostałem miło zaskoczony. Czysto (choć zasłony w oknach wymagały więcej uwagi). Świetny serwis. Wi-Fi działało bezproblemowo. 10 min. do Dworca Termini.Polecam.

Senhor Bernard, o proprietário, segue sendo um cavalheiro e o Old Roma é um local bom e honesto onde se pode dormir e tomar um banho entre as andanças por Roma. O novo apartamento ficou bonito e charmoso.

Na minha opinião é preciso melhorar o hall de circulação, pois o tapete da entrada retém pó e ataca a rinite dos mais sensíveis.

Mais alguns detalhes, como retirar a parte que ficou do blackout da janela ou retirar tudo em vez de deixar apenas metade colocada melhora muito a impressão geral do local.

O novo local de café da manhã (Just For You) também é muito bom.

Se você deseja um local para dormir e compreende que se trata de um prédio antigo com acomodações limpas, porém simples, recomendo do Old Roma.

Se você deseja instalações mais modernas, recomendo que vá a outro local e pague o preço cobrado pleas comodidades.

mohu doporučit, velmi ochotný majitel, poradí a pomůže se vším, do centra je možné dojít pěšky, jen oblast u nádraží je nic moc, ale zase je to blízko zmrzliny Fassi, malé pokoje, ale útulné, lednička, internet, snídaně v baru

Every morning, clean bedding and towels were provided with a cleaned room.

Mr Benard was a very helpful and honest man.

The initial impression might be off putting due to the location but it's not that bad.

Cały pobyt uważam za bardzo udany. Właściciel bardzo pomocny. Szkoda tylko że wi-fi nie chodziło.

отличный отель и отличный хозяин Бернардо. Он очень доброжелательный и общительный. Мы приехали поздно, он нас встретил ночью на улице, специально пригласил русскоговорящего человека, угостил вином. Ну и ко всему очень удобное место - центр и вокзал рядом. В номере чисто- убирают каждый день, есть инет, холодильник, фен, большая кровать. Спасибо ему большое за теплый прием! :)

Disponibilità e convenienza.

The bed made so much noise even if u touched it. The trains were too close i couldnt sleep very well. Everything else was fine!

The room was very tiny, the tv did not work, the shower was frigid and barely dribbled out. However the wi-fi worked great, and Bernard was absolutely wonderful-he really went above & beyond to be helpful & a valuable resource for information!

I recommend Old Roma hostel. It is great localization - next to Termini station. You do not need bus or train to get there. It is only 5 min walking from Termini. No way to be lost. Rooms are small but all clean with private bathroom. Great support from landlord - Bernard. He welcomed us in hostel even late arrival - 11pm. Every morning he was in hostel making sure we are comfortable and have all we required. Croissant and coffee for breakfast in restaurant just behind the corner. Thank you Bernard – we had grat 3 days in Rome. Will come back for sure.

Trata-se de um quarto com banheiro dentro de um apartamento residencial, quando cheguei fiquei um pouco assustada com a situação, mas percebi que era normal alugar quartos como hotel.

O chuveiro foi um ponto negativo, não esquentava mais de 1 minuto, foi difícil tomar banho.

We are satisfied with the hostel. It is near to the Termini railway station and the hostel is renovated outside and inside. Bernard, the owner is very friendly and helpful. He can organise also your transfer to and from the airport by car at very low price.

I would certainly stay there again

Al llegar el personal no estaba en el lugar. Muy costoso para el tipo de habitación, tenian un mueble en la pieza que era una cocina!!!
