Ashnil Samburu camp is approximately 345 kilome- ters from North of Nairobi – approximately 5 hour drive and 12 kilometers from Ngare Mara Gate. And by air; Buffalo springs airstrip is 14 kilometers away from the Camp.

From Nairobi to Property:
The drive from Nairobi to Ashnil Samburu Camp takes approximately 5 – 6 hours
Leave Nairobi using Thika Road, headed North towards Nanyuki on the new “Chinese Super Highway”. This distance is 200 km via Sagana, Karatina, Kiganjo and Naro Moru.
Once in Nanyuki, you may choose to stop over for refreshments.
Head North out of Nanyuki via Timau towards Isiolo. As you negotiate the picturesque wheat fields on the summit of the Timau hills, you begin to descend steeply, take a left turn towards Isiolo at the major junction.
From Isiolo, keep going North on the main highway, and approximately 15 km on it, turn left at “Ngare Mara”. Our Ashnil Sign Board easily guides you from there to the Park Gate and onto the Camp.
