'Charming and much like home' best describes this Maui Beach Hostel. It's the 'FIRST AND ONLY' Beach hostel in Kihei. As of August 2009, we began our transition from hotel to hostel, making a sort of 'hometel'. We are now offering upscale hostel accommodations for the travellers who want peace and quiet as well as fun. Maui Sugar Beach Hostel will cater to eighteen-and-over global travellers and Americans travelling on a budget who want more homestyle living while keeping travel expenses as low as they can possibly be on Maui. We invite you to experience making new friends and sharing experiences with others just like yourself with a simular travelling lifestyle who want to spend their hard earned money on activities and fun, and less on accommodations.

What makes The Inn so unique?

At the Maui Sugar Beach Hostel you can book by the bed for only $35 per night or by the private bedroom with king, queen, or twin beds for $69 per night. Each suite has a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and living room with two twin beds. The kitchen and bathroom separate the bedroom from the living room, where block out curtains are hung for additional privacy. The living room accesses a slate poolside lanai for outdoor lounging. Under the bed storage is provided for single beds. Dressers are included in the bedrooms. Each unit is shared with a maximum of 5 guests. Public bus transportation is provided for $1.00 per route, and a bus stop right across the street from the hostel. Private transportation provided by the hostel is also available for $15 with a reservation. Bicycles, kayaks, mopeds, and surfboards can be rented nearby. Restaurants, grocery, and shopping galore are within 1 mile. The beaches grace the entire towns of Kihei, Wailea, Makena, Lahaina, Paia, and on and on. Bus transportation is available to all these towns for $1.00.
